my contract expiries on june 14th

Well depending if you priority level is gold, you might be able to upgrade now.

But generally no, you have to wait until the upgrade date i'm afraid, as the "Computer says NO!" is generally blamed.

They won't offer you anything until the 15th, call back when you're eligible, and then see if they offer you anything.
  • called today and got offered

    SE C903
    300 mins
    unlimited o2 to 02 calls
    unlimited texts
    £15 a month on 24 month contract.

    what you thinks???

Amazon do the phone (SIM free/unlocked) for £150. O2 do a 12 months SIM only (300 mins, unlimited o2 to 02 calls and unlimited texts for £10 pm).

    Over a year that's £270 (£22.50 pm).

The offer you were given equates to £15 pm all in but you're tied into a 24 month contract. I don't have one myself but it has had indeterminate reviews and appears to be coming up to a year old now.

    Horses for courses...

Or you could see if anything takes your fancy at GiffGaff. They use the O2 network apparently.

    Hey,

Just wondering if O2 are doing any retention deals for moving to simplicity?

I'm coming to the end of my contract, and was looking at the HTC desire. However I don't want to get it from O2 as I don't want to deal with the rubbish they usually load onto their phones.

So I was thinking of buying it sim free from an online retailer, then getting a sim only deal.

Every time in the past when I've come to the end of my contract with O2, I've been offered a great retention deal with a new phone.

But as I don't want a phone this time, and fancied moving to simplicity, probably the 30day rolling contract (but would consider the 12-month). But I was wondering, if I call retentions, will I just be offered exactly what is on the website, or will I get any better deals?

I noticed the simplicity deals have gone up in price because they've added in the unlimited texts. So the 600min one is now £25 as opposed to £20, sigh!

So just wondering if there's any point in calling retentions to see if they'll do me a deal for switching to simplicity?

    cheers,

    Graham.
