Hi
18 months ago i decided to do an upgrade with o2 on the Xda Ignito, this is what i got for £35 per month:
Free phone
600 minutes cross network
1000 text
unlimited o2 to o2 calls
unlimited landline calls
unlimited internet
long weekends
i tried to upgrade but they want me to drop 2 of my bolt ons, so ive decided to stick to my tariff and just save up for a new handset no matter how long it takes!
I am getting £30 worth of bolt ons for free, so it would be pretty stupid for me to drop that for the sake of a new phone
what do you guys think?
Yeah seems like a better deal to be fair, especially if you know a lot of people on o2! There's always the added benefit that if you buy your phone its yours and you can change at anytime!:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!0 -
been with o2 for 2.5 yrs....
last time offered £10 a month with 200 mins and unlimited o2-o2 calls bolton and was chuffed with it.
this time i was asked to pay £23 a month on a 24 month contract for 300 mins and unlimited o2 calls with a Samsung Genio free.....
needless to say requested my pac now......will be moving to T-mobile who have got some irresistable offers.
bye o2 and by the way i am not regretting my decision...0 -
I stayed with O2. Got a good deal, not as good as before, but I have been with them since 1998. I couldnt find a better offer from anywhere else, I mean for five quid bolt I get to call an international running up to five thousand minutes. For a tenner I got three international numbers....NO ONE else can beat or match 02 offer I have a few months ago and now with the FFI offer its scorchingly hot.
What is a surprise for me though is that they are stating that will keep their call centres in the UK unlike every other network which bounches them around.
I love O2. If I had the chance I would name everybodys babies after their XDA names!0 -

Was it with a phone? Because simplicity you can get a £10/month 12 month contract 300 min, Unlimited texts and free O2 to O2 calls or Free Landline calls.
And if you are lucky u can get a free phone as well (LG BL20) which I got last week on the phone.
HTHI wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -

I was not told that i would get a phone with simplicity tariffs. But the deal you mentioned above exactly suits my needs. And LGBL20 is worth anywhere between 60-80 quids....I'll call them again on monday and if im offered this i will just take it.
thanks for sharing the information.0 -
Just spoke to retentions and have renewed my contract. BB 9700 with 300 mins unlimited text and unlimited email. They will also apply a £135 credit on the second month, which brings it down to £30 a month. £30 a month was my limit so happy with the deal. This is on a 18 month contract."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

I was promised that I could take it up any time because I wasn't going to use it immediately.
Now the rep is saying the deal is not available to me anymore.
I said I was promised, blah, blah, blah, but nope.
They will not honour those deals.
Cross! I now have to start again and look for a moneysaving combo of TV, Broadband and phone. Not pleased at all.
Is there anything I can do other than vote with my feet come retentions time (very soon)??
O2 are being extremely unhelpful. As above, I was offered home broadband FREE last year and was told that I could activate it any time. I told the rep that I was moving to a new home this year and would not be able to take the offer till now.
FF a year and they're saying they cannot honour the deal. To top it all off, they can see no record of the offer in the notes (I called TWICE) and say they are unable to listen to old customer service conversations beyond 6 months.
The rep agreed that I was likely offered that deal as he recalls the offers but cannot do anything but offer the bog-standard 3 months free. Where's the incentive for loyal customers?
Has anyone else had similar problems?Tough times never last longer than tough people.0 -

The new I-Phone has been leaked. (supposedly)

It seems genuine to me if Apple bothered to write a short and to the point letter demaning it back.0 -

Phone is worth around 80 quids.....and 24 months is too long a time to commit for....actual tariff is 25 pounds so you're offered a discount of £3 a month...
i am sure if you can shell out another 50 may be you get a desire for these manay mins on tmobile....0
