O2 are being extremely unhelpful. As above, I was offered home broadband FREE last year and was told that I could activate it any time. I told the rep that I was moving to a new home this year and would not be able to take the offer till now.

FF a year and they're saying they cannot honour the deal. To top it all off, they can see no record of the offer in the notes (I called TWICE) and say they are unable to listen to old customer service conversations beyond 6 months.

The rep agreed that I was likely offered that deal as he recalls the offers but cannot do anything but offer the bog-standard 3 months free. Where's the incentive for loyal customers?

Has anyone else had similar problems?

Yes the exact same happened to me, i called back and said my friend had recently been offered 12 months free broadband (which she had) and they said i could have 6 months free but ive now cancelled my phone contract as the deal they offered me to upgrade was rubbish, so wont be able to get it now :(

Hope this is the right place to post...

Coming to the end of my contract and have been offered-

Choice of Nokia 6700, 6303 or Nokia X6
300 Minutes, Free 02 to 02 calls, Unlimited texts, Unlimited web. £23 per month
    Two year contract

I'm currently on 600 Minutes, 1400 Texts, Unlimited web for £20 per month.

Anyone know of a better deal? I may even move over to someone like Vodafone as the reception signal on 02 can be useless at times. But I doubt I will get a better deal than that lot for £23 a month. It should be around £35-£40pm but I got a discount after a bit of a moan up!

If anyone knows of a better deal around please let me know before I sign my life (or two years) away!

    Thanks all

suggest you spend a few minutes on the brilliant mobilephonechecker.co website

very quick glance putting in your phone and minutes etc requirement..... seemed to show loads of options at £13 to £16 nett ....

and don't forget quidco/tcb on most of the companies .

e2save and other cpw companies had the best deals so cashback not a worry.

It seems o2 aren't up for offering decent deals at the moment? I've been a customer since 2001 and had broadband for the last 2 and a half years, but I'm "only" a simplicity customer on £15 tariff.

Phoned to ask what deal they could do me on a contract as I was fed up of my phone playing up. I was offered the same deal as on their website for bberry or same as I'm on for £10pm if I sign up for 12 month contract.

Think I'll phone up for my PAC and MAC code as I'm sure I'll get a better deals elsewhere. Just need to get past the fear of changing bband provider!

Not for me either (and after about 6 goes with Retentions with no luck I gave up).

My transfer to T-Mobile (on a rolling 30 day contract) is in the process of going through and even if I end up going back to O2 I will wait until there's a good cashback deal around.
