02 Retentions thread 2

Just tried to upgrade to iphone 32gb and was offered 189 to upgrade!
Not good at all.
Does anyone know the retentions telephone number as I keep getting throught to upgrades?

Hi I have a question about something I want to propose to 02 and just wanted to know what are our chances or will we be wasting our time.

myself, wife and sister are all looking at new phones. wife and I are on sim only deals where we pay £20 with 02 and sister wants to leave 3 and join 02 with a blackbury or iPhone deal but wants to pay no more than £25.

If we teamed up and explained to 02 that we are all looking for a deal, we all live in the same house, would an 02 deal be able to do us a really good deal, from their point they will have 3 people signed up on a contract and we could discuss what they would offer us.

Do we have any chance of better if we go in together?

Maybe- however it does seem to me that O2 aren't really interested below the £35 a month market anymore. I after 10 years with them have left as they won't seem to budge below the £35 limit even on the most basic of phones.

Been offered a 32gb Black/White 3GS iphone for £35pm @18months but OOS. they told me they have stopped account credit and £15 loyalty discount now. Was on sim only (got a 2g iphone, when they were £69 at 02 18months or so) 500mins/800text, web bolt on, £150 credit for £19pm. They laughed at me when i asked for the same. Charming!

Not sure how long the offer will last but at the moment you can get a HTC Hero with Three for £23.45 on an 18 month deal with 750 minutes and 3000 texts a month. I'd start quoting that to O2 and see what they can come up with.

Yeah I got the same thing this morning too....

I Have been with o2 for 4 years now. I rang up last week to upgrade to the iphone 3GS 16GB and was told to wait until today as then I would be within my last month and they could offer me the good deals, I mentioned that both Orange and O2 were doing good deals on the iphone compared to O2's deals on their website and they told me not to worry that the deals on the website were for new customers only and I would definately get a loyalty discount for my time with O2.

I rang O2 this morning....

The lady I spoke to first offered me two deals

16GB 3GS Iphone (Refurbed) Free on a £35/contract 600 Mins 500 Texts Unlimited Web with a further £4 a month discount for the duration of the 18month contract so only £31 a month...after offering it she said however we are out of stock on refurb phones and I should ring back on Monday in the afternoon for this deal when they would have more in.

She then said I can offer you a 16GB 3GS Iphone (New) on the £35/contract same as above but without the £4 monthly discount to £31.

I said I would think about it and she said she would note the deals down on my account for when I rang back.

I rang back...6 times!

And each time I was told if I wanted that handset I had to pay £89 for the handset and sign for 24 months at £35!!
The deal I was offered had not been added on to my account so It could not be "honoured". They tried to give me the spiel about "its because you want the iphone and its an expensive handset"

Im sooooooo annoyed!!

Update: Rang today after 2pm and still no refurbed iphone 3gs 16/32 GBS in stock :mad:

Was told to ring again tomorrow/wednesday...
We will see...

I was £18/month til Nov, then paid £35 for a couple of months (out of contract). Also went to o2 shop and CPW, making sure they had my number, and saw what deals they had (hoping it would register on their system). Also mentioned the tesco deal (which is cheaper over 18months for lightish users).
