O2 finally gave me a reasonable offer on the Aino,
    400 minutes
    1000 texts
    unlimited 02 to 02 calls
    unlimited web
    £25 pm

    Which I have accepted.
Is that an 18 month deal?

I'm on hold with them just now, thinking of keeping my iphone 3G, taking the £20 simplicity tariff until the summer then when the new iPhone arrives getting that. Thing is, as the £20 simplicity tariff is available to anybody I'm expecting them to say they'll offer me an upgrade deal when I go for the new iPhone. Will see what they say.

managed to haggle up my offer with the threat of going to orange, that and having a good chat with the guy. had talked to a bit of a mardy girl before who would not budge.
    £20 per month for 18months
    free e71
    400mins
    400 txt
Promo Unltd O2 to O2 Calls,
    Free Unlimited Web Bolt On

suits me as I am on a genie contract and don't use the txts as much now. the minutes will come in handy though but more than enough for me

Took me 30 mins to get through, bloke couldn't understand what I meant
  • I am due for an upgrade, Im with 02 and have been for several years, I currently pay £19 per month. I was going to go for the Satio as I want a decent camera phone. Has anyone any other suggestions of what to ask for when I contact 02? I have had a look on the online upgrades and could get the Satio for £25 per month. Ive read a few reviews which suggest that its operating system is a bit pedestrian.

What do I use the phone for mostly? I text, make the odd call, and take photos. I dont use it for the net at the moment as I have a netbook I use at home. I m semi retired so I dont need one for work. I did think a phone with a GPS device might be a good idea as I dont have a sat nav.

Please can someone suggest what to go for before I phone them up? Every review I read gives me conflicting advice.

Called to upgrade for my mum today, asked why I was leaving, told her I didn't want to leave but my current contract was at a discount rate, which was about to end and I couldn't afford the £35 a month which it would be going up to. She said, okay, thanks, pac will be text to your phone within 2-24 hours. No offers, no mentioning the tariffs they do below £35, nothing.

Guess o2 don't want custom these days.

Try again and select thinking of leaving option. If no further deal give 30 days notice (PAC doesn't always mean you are leaving as it expires in 30 days if you don't use it) which normally makes em more generous. If you do give notice and then get a deal - make sure they remove the disconnection otherwise 30 days later you could be cut off!!!

They normally ask if you are the account holder (name/password) - I didn't think they could deal with other than the account holder.

That's exactly what I did, selected thinking of leaving and such, told her outright I was leaving, quoted a tmobile deal I'd seen, and said I wanted to take my number. She told me all about the pac expiring in 30 days too.

They did ask if I was the account holder, I said yes, gave the security answers she asked for and there ya go. Obviously I'm not the account holder, but my mum asked me to phone for her so I had the details needed.
