Good deal, need to find new mobile company as leaving o2,was that deal as a current orange user or through a retailer or direct by phoning orange?? cheers
it was as an existing (for 8 weeks long) customer on pay as you go, spending 10 pounds a month. perhaps thats why i go the extra 5 off.0 -
OHHHHH. When the person said ROLLING, i thought they meant their mins and texts and data that's UNUSED from the previous month rolls over to the next month. Didnt think they meant the contract was 30 days. I see I see.
Funny how the term ROLLING is now used differently. Then again, maybe I was always thinking of "rollover"
ah the good old days of getting 500 mins a month not using much and have near double the month after until u reached ur cap0 -
Contract renewal date 5th Feb, tried today (holding for 40 mins) to be told to ring back tomorrow for a loyalty deal0

Interested to hear what they say tomorrow as this is the tactic they have employed with me for a while now - call back soon as deals in the offering.0 -
Why would you take a refurb phone if you can get a new phone, better deal and take your number across to a different network, do O2 think they are the only network around or something?0

That's what I'd say - since o2 backed the iPhone and Palm Pre, they have been giving out terrible deals, presumably to try and claw some money back.0 -

They're only technically a refurb. They've been sent back to Apple within their initial 14 day cooling off period and been recased, etc if any scratches on. So really they're virtually brand new.0 -
Well.. day of finding out what 02 would do to keep me lol. Rang through twice, held on the line for an hour each time. Didn't mind though put them on loud speaker and did other things lol. But I really am quite disappointed, best they could do for me on a blackberry was 600 minutes, thousand texts and unlimited internet for £30 - or if i wanted internet and unlimited texts it would be £40 per month
I explained what I was being offered on other networks, and they couldnt do much on it - offered a bit better blackberry but not worth an extra £10/£15 per month IMO!
He did explain that it is done on a profitability thing, which is fair enough. And i found out i sent 3200 text last month, im quite shocked lol. So when I questionned why I would pay 02 this much extra (almost double) only reason he could give me was, orange is capped at 3000 texts, whereas they are true unlimited (which i dont think is true) I explained i only use a lot of txts cos i know there free! I asked if there was anything they could throw in (even pretended i was literally about to go in the orange shop and change networks lol) but they wouldnt do anything for me!
Found vodaphone VERY pushy with gettng a sale though lol.Learning to be 'good with money'0 -

Yep... makes it extra shocking they will let customers leave without a fight lol.Learning to be 'good with money'0 -

With O2 it shouldn't really be a problem for them to at least get somewhere close to the other network's tariffs/offers as they don't offer a massive amount of phones and can buy in bulk bigger than the other networks (as they are the biggest network in the UK). I feel that O2 have been stretched too far both in their core business with the Iphone/Palm Pre (exclusively brought to the network at a hefty premium) and with their interests elsewhere.0
