just rang retentions..
Getting my white refurb iphone 16gb 3gs tomorrow
600 mins
500 texts
unlimited web £35pm.18 month contract
seems to be pretty standard at the moment, happy with that as considerably more expensive elsewhere. insurance i get through my bank account.0 -
I negotiated last time my contract was up with O2 and currently pay £15 a month for 400mins and basically unlimited texts. I don't need as much talk time but do need a new phone as mine is dying and preferably a bit of internet allowance. How do retentions on retentions work? Will they offer me anything? Thanks0

O2 are not giving out any discounts at the minute, you will be lucky to get to stay on the same reduced tariff. My gf was on O2 25 @ £15 and they put it up to £25 after the minimum term and wouldn't budge.0

I went into an O2 store yesterday to enquire about an upgrade deal on a Blackberry - was quoted ludicrous tariff in order to get the phone free. Laughed and said I was off to the next door T Mobile store, to get the phone for about half the monthly cost - store staff hinted that there may be new tariffs/retention deals in the offing?0

Wait till next month.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

To be honest, they are not going to bend over backwards to keep you if you are on a tariff that is £15 a month for 400mins and unlimited texts, unless you are a good profitable customer through add-ons or extras/downloads etc.0

I know what you're talking about rgarding the blackberry tariffs and their ludicris pricing. They quoted me £55/mo to get the Bold 9000 free.. as an upgrade from my current tariff with them.. and I currently have a better new customer offer from orange at £31.25 for the new 9700. Not sure why o2 are being so anal about pricing...0

agree totally. They wanted £45/mo for the 8520 - £20/mo on Virgin, £25/mo on TMo, Orange etc. O2 are losing the plot.0 -
