Looks like the warranty is only for 3months. But you can get Apple care for £59 for 2 year cover.
They offered me 600mins 500 texts for 35£ p/m for 18months.
But I'd have to pay £39 to pay off my contract, £59 for warranty AND £65 for the handset!
Think I'm better off paying £12 (I have an O2 open code = £75 cashback) for a new handset, and getting a 24 month contract with the same tariff!0 -
Hey rajessex, did you call Carphone Warehouse or O2?2012 is the year...

Coming to the end of my contract in Jan, currently on Online 35 with web bolt on discounted to £25 a month.
Was offered a reconditioned iphone on same online 35 deal for £28 a month over 18months , so basically an iphone for an extra £54 over my current contract. Very tempting!0 -
I do think £35pm is a good enough offer at the moment. Have 14 days to change my mind anyway!
To anyone that has bought an iphone who have you taken your phone insurance out with? o2 gave it to me for 7.50 which i don't know if its good.
but i don't have much luck with phones so thought i better had taken it out while i remembered!!0 -

That's very good, they told me that it's £15 for the iPhone! (and that's what the website says too) I paid £7.50 last year on a normal phone, and although it's more than adding it on to home insurance etc, the cover is really good, I've had at least 3 phones replaced when I've broken them, and each time they've come the next day with no hassle.
Be sure to check your first bill, just in case they have charged you £15, because it's definitely not worth that much!0 -
@CoolKRS18 Sorry - should have clarified - I called "02 at the Carphone Warehouse" (as opposed to 02 directly) as my contract originated from e2save quite a few years back!0

Just to let everyone know, I contacted o2 again today and instead of 1000 texts, they've changed it to unlimited. My new 3GS will arrive tomorrow.0

I got exactly the same deal, but paying £31 per month, which they were adamant was the absolute best deal they could offer me. It seems they decide what offer they want to give you, and then just refuse to budge on it! I'm about to call up again to say I need more texts, or I'm off to Orange!
Update: Just called up, and was told that there was no way they could offer me extra texts, it's apparently just not possible. I'm obviously not getting through to the same people as Ruiner99 and CG19a!
Did you ask them to add the extra 500 texts bolt-on? It's an extra £7.34 I think.0 -

I used CUSC and have had to use them once after dropping and cracking my screen.

2 years ago my previous contract with 02/Carphone Warehouse was coming to an end. I got a call from Customer Retention and they offered me to keep my existing phone and sim and enter a 2 year contract of £5 a month for 200 minutes and 275 texts. This was the normal price for 100mins and 100texts at the time.
They say in February this deal will end, and the best deal they have offerered me so far will cost £15 for 200 minutes and unlimited texts.
My wife and I both have a phone so this is going to cost us £20 a month extra!
Has anyone been offered anything better than this from O2/Carphone Warehouse? I don't need an upgrade. I like cheapness.0
