Secondly they ask for your place of birth, this is what they say acts as your signature.
That's just great. My place of birth is not exactly a secret and not really something someone can use to sign for something.
But it still doesn't prove anything when upgrading - they know your details, what is to stop the company forging it and claiming you signed up to a new contract.
Surely they should need the tape to prove that you entered into a new contract with them. Do they not actually have to prove this sort of thing or can just claim you agreed to pay £100pm for 300mins and 200 SMS?O2 never confirm the changes in writing, I always ask and am always told they cant do this.
I have gone without-handset, so when I got a "Your handset has been dispatched" email I rang and asked. Apparently I will receive a package containing details of the tariff etc... and they just use the same standard email. Surely even this would be confirmation.*I reserve the right to have an opinion, the right to change this opinion and the right to be wrong.*Hope that helps. My contract is to expire few days from now, I sent an email asking for my PAC code and they gave it to me straight away in their reply. I tried to call retentions department and they never bothered to offer me anything, well....maybe it's time to switch into another provider....been with o2 for the past 3 years, I wonder why they never bothered to offer me anything..:)0

Does anybody have a phone number for the retentions department?0

I just dial 202 from my handset, and options where it says: "if you want to cancel your contract, etc.."0

So they have notes on your account saying they offered you 200 mins, 400 SMS, free web and free data for £25pm for 12 months and are NOT going to honour these terms?
But in the case further up, they are charging more than they agreed to over the phone.
Either way they don't seem to be wanting to honour the agreements their employees negotiate.
Is it just me or is it sounding like some fishy is going on? Any more?*I reserve the right to have an opinion, the right to change this opinion and the right to be wrong.*Hope that helps. If you find this post useful, please feel free to hit the V V V V V V 'Thanks' button below0 -
