Their systems were down yesterday too. I called at 7pm and I got through and my query done straight away, so give them a try tonight.

Called them this morning saying I wanted to cancel. They asked why and I told them about the deal from T-Mobile. They said they could match the tariff but I'd have to pay £80 for the handset.

I asked for my PAC code and they said I'll get it within 24 hours via text.

To be honest I don't really want to leave and was hoping they'd match the T-Mobile offer

Might try again later but I think I'll be leaving o2 after 8 years with them.

I have a number of emails form customer services telling me the hours for the retention team are 0800 - 1800

I was told they only post PAC codes not test.

The above are just examples of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.

I think they just make up everything on the spot! That's why I'm going to try again later. I did try and call them after 8 last night and there was a recorded message saying that the lines are only open between 8am and 8pm.

You'll find it near on impossible to get O2 to match the T- mobile deal over 18 months or for £35.

Their cs hands are tied and have set pricing the people who got them for free are on things like £40 a month and a 2 year contract.

At the moment on O2 there's no deals to be had on the HD2 compared to other networks, they're selling the phone quite happily without doing them.

    It makes you despair.

    Good luck.
All I ever wanted was an apology and their incorrect charging to be put right but sadly they never managed that, dind't try to "retain" my business so someone else can have my money now.

  • just had a call back from o2 customer complaints. They had no record of the offer on there systems but looking at my contract have decided to stand by the free phone, £35 per month tariff with a £5 line rental discount making it £30 with unlimited internet.

seems going a little further can get you what you are entitled too. :)

    Well done :money:

I'm going to call back later and hopefully get a similar offer. I'd be happy if they just matched the T-Mobile offer to save me the bother of having to switch providers!
