I am so unhappy with what I have been offered by o2 that I have emailed the chief executive directly.0

Hi, have ordered the simplicity 12 month through quidco. How do I just order the phone (tocco lite) on its own ? It seems to only come with a top up?0

My DD wants to upgrade her phone (it's dying) but not her contract of £25 per month; she can't get what she wants as a new phone from O2 on the current contract. So basically can she buy a PAYG phone (the one she wants) on O2 and then just swap the sims over??0

Hi, I have been getting 1000 off peak minutes to landlines, 50 off peak minutes to any network and 100 free text. I needed the 1000 minutes to call abroad (through a calling card) and this has suited me quite nicely - although I now on average use only about 300-400 of the 1000 off peak minutes - what a great invention Skype is!
I would get this for £21.28 a month with monthly extra of -£8.52, making a total £12.76 before VAT. I have had this for two years now and and would also get a free phone.
I have just been on to retentions (I have been with 02 more than 10 years after all) and the best they would offer is a new £25 a month tariff for 18 months!!!
I just want to keep my old tariff and get a relatively nice Nokia phone! What's the best way to re-approach retentions?
Also, what if I don't upgrade? Would my existing tariff be carried on?
Thanks in advance

I am sure if you dont upgrade or re negotiate your contract you will be charged the full monthly amount (you wont get any discount) Am thinking of a new one:beer:0

My o2 18th month 200 min and 200 text for £10 per month ends early Feb. (had reconditioned Samsung Soul which I sold on)
I use 20 - 50 mins per month, under 50 text BUT send dozen, probably cos FREE mms, which uses 4 free text per MMS.
I can ask for an upgrade early Jan or give notice / request PAC. If I don't act my Jan bill will be higher as 18 mth discount ends!!
Do I go pa.y.g or try for another tenner deal?? (e.g. Asda p.a.y.g 8p min 4p text)0 -
well I cancelled my contract last night. the bloke on the phone was only interested in offering me £30 tariffs and said that to get the unlimited web I need to pay that amount. I quoted deals from everywhere else and he said there was nothing he could do.
So then he mentioned going onto a 12 months simplicity which I said it looked like I was going to do but I said I wouldnt be doing it through him, he asked why and I explained that by starting the simplicity contract through him I wouldnt be gaining anything and by taking out a new simplicity contract through quidco I would gain £100. He said he couldnt work out why I was saying that but I told him I wanted to cancel.
On the other hand I sent a letter of disgust to o2 stating my concerns for their lack of interest, I mentioned cancelling my didnt actually say that I had wanted to. I got a reply back telling me that they had taken the letter as my notification of cancellation!!!!!!
I am on the verge of calling their complaints department.0 -
Hello is it possible to buy a PAYG phone from Tesco and then use it with an O2 sim as its the same network? O r will it be locked? Thanks0

I got a fairly good deal from O2 a couple of months ago.
I was on a £35 per month tarrif, but wanted to reduce it a bit. I needed a Windows Mobile phone, but they'd withdrawn their cheapest XDA, and only had the XDA Guide. This phone oonly had the option of either going up to a £40 per month tarrif, or paying about £60 for the phone.
I got put through to retentions and told them this. After a bit of haggling they put me on the £40 tarrif, with a discount of £10 per month making it £30 per month, but meaning I got the phone free. This includes unlimited internet.
Definitely worth haggling0
