I've been a long term O2 customer and threatened to leave.
O2 retentions have offered me a 24 mth contract at £6.66 per month , 75 min + 200 texts +free internet or the same deal for £9.79 with an LG Cookie phone? (So I pay £75 for the phone).
Does this sound ok?0 -
Not really I got free cookie, 300 mins, 200 texts for a lot cheaper (using quidco) on 12 month contract (not with o2) - new contract new network. Mind you its cashback deal.0

Will you still want the phone in two years......will it last that long? I'd never have 2yr contract.
Minutes, texts depends on your usage and future usage. I don't consider myself a heavy user, but more and more use of minutes, rarely use land line now.0 -
I had a £15 a month discount from o2. I got nothing from retentions for a Satio, so emailed o2's custoemr services department citing the deals I could get with the Satio from the other networks. In the end I got the Satio free on an 18 month contract with 600 minutes, unlimited texts *and* unlimited browsing for £35 a month.0

So then he mentioned going onto a 12 months simplicity which I said it looked like I was going to do but I said I wouldnt be doing it through him, he asked why and I explained that by starting the simplicity contract through him I wouldnt be gaining anything and by taking out a new simplicity contract through quidco I would gain £100. He said he couldnt work out why I was saying that but I told him I wanted to cancel.
On the other hand I sent a letter of disgust to o2 stating my concerns for their lack of interest, I mentioned cancelling my didnt actually say that I had wanted to. I got a reply back telling me that they had taken the letter as my notification of cancellation!!!!!!
I am on the verge of calling their complaints department.

Has anyone got the HTC HD2 through retentions? My contract is now in it's last month and I wondering what deals people have been offered.
I've found the HD2 free on T-Mobile for £35 a month (700mins unlimited text & internet, 18 months). Is it likely that o2 will match/beat this offer? I don't really want to move as o2 have the best coverage where I live and I've never had any problems with them.
Any help appreciated!0 -
Hi
I was told about 2 weeks ago i could have the HD2 for free on my current tariff but unfortunately the phone went out of stock.
I rang everyday for two weeks and even extended my disconnection date waiting for it to come back into stock.
Today it has, and guess what i cant have it on the same tariff (35 per month, with £5 loyalty discount). Its 600 mins, 1000 texts and unlimited internet. Reason i cant have it....Offers change all the time....
i've requested my PAC code and will definetly be going to another network. Poor service once again on o2's behalf.

So is that £35 a month including discount or £35 plus discount (£30 a month)?
Past experience says call again and speak to another operator, they all say completely different things!0 -
