Just wondering how O2 managed to supply my work colleague with a Nokia E71 then. Must have been a one-off. Anyhoo, like I said, if they can't offer me a Hero, I'm jumping ship after being with them for 10 years (BT Cellnet customer originally).
I'm Holding out for a Hero 'til the end of... my contract
o2 do the E71, that's probably why?0 -
Hi everyone - first post and I am looking for a bit of advice Re my o2 contract, which is coming to an end next month.
I just phoned o2, and think I got through to retentions (was told afterwards that I went through to them, although was never transferred). I have been offered:
- 600 cross-network anytime minutes
- Unlimited weekend cross-network minutes
- Unlimited data for WAP (which I do not care about)
- A SE W995, but I have to pay just under £50 for it.
All of that is £30 a month. Good deal or not? Thanks0 -

Thanks for the advice. What about if the phone was free. What would you think then?0

They would not budge. I'm therefore leaving. They demonstrate absolutely no loyalty.0

Dear all,
Day of reckoning came today had my o2 upgrade.
After reading everywhere retentions are not doing any good deals etc.
Just for FYI
They are doing £10 discounts on £45+ tariff depending on phone
£5 discounts on £30/35 tariffs
It got to a point i couldnt get the tariff i wanted.
So just went for the simplicity offer of £19.58 12 months deal
800mins 1600 texts and unlimited web bolt on
They also chucked in a free pay and go internet dongle (can flog that on ebay hehe)
And also got 12 months free home broadband is this a good deal.
Ive saved up enough money to buy a HTC Hero so im going to do just that as i dont wish to leave o2 to be honest.
What do you all think is it a rubbish deal? 12 months free home broadband and a free payand go dongle (can probably get £20-30 on ebay) so at least i can pay for 2 months line rental and upgrade my phone in month 11, did explain if i do upgrade will they just look at my 12 months i did explain they should look at my whole spend. Sim only is fine im using my old o2 xda which i need to sell asap!.
Is it a good deal or rubbish couldnt have got anything further. Had to speak to 4 ppl as staff flipping quoting different prices!.0 -
Sounds ok with the perks - if you dont mind having a new phone.
Now send me that dongle!0 -
on the subject of SE W995, I got one today through phones4u, they upgraded me on o2 as I'd been on simplicity since Nov as O2 wouldn't give me the phone I wanted back then without charging me £90 for the phone when i could get it free elsewhere, anyway....
For £25 a month inc vat (24 month contact) i got the phone for free, 600x network mins, unlimited texts (bonus tariff) & free 8gb memory card seemed to be the best offer about for it at the minute - if there's better I don't wanna know;)
If you trade in a handset as well you get £50 cashback at the minute.0
