  • I was originally on a sim only contract for 8 months and decided I wanted to get a contract phone as well. I was getting:

    1000 Texts
    600 Minutes
    Unlimited O2 to O2 Calls
    £19.58 pm

When I mentioned that Quidco are giving £35 cashback for a new contract they offered me:

Sony Ericsson C902 Titanium (The phone I wanted)
    1000 texts
    400 minutes
    Unlimited O2 to O2 Calls
    £25 pm
    18 month contract

Although it was slightly less minutes then before I was told I didn't always average 600 minutes a month so was a good deal for me.
  • Am a low user, and have been on 100% free deals through cashback from CPW now for a good few years.

Phoned up to extend again on same terms (12 month 200 mins/200 texts for £30 a month but cashback in 3 instalments, no new phone), but they wouldn't budge.

Have been offered 400 mins/400 texts on 24 months for £4.90 a month (net payable after discount on the invoice, no need to faff about with cashback claims)

I'll see if I can get them down to 12 month tie-in.....
  • Has anyone had a decent retention deal offered including the SE W995?

I'm looking for something around £25 p/m including 300+ minutes, 300+texts and the unlimited internet bolt-on!

I can get this for £32.50 elsewhere but the last time I talked to retentions the best they could do with the W995 was £45 p/m!?!?!?

The SE W995 is an unjustifiably expensive handset. And from my experience of SE phones as of late, I refuse to buy another. I'd consider looking at other phones.

I've looked at others but it seems to be the best for the features I want! 8 megapixel camera, wi-fi etc and besides - I've has SE for about 5 years now and I just cant seem to get on with another brand as well!?!?
I tried a Samsung Tocco Ultra for a while but just didnt find it logical to find things on it!?!?

Go into a phone shop and have a play around with an HTC Hero. That's going to be my next purchase :)

  • I know this is a retentions thread for mobiles, but I thought it might be best to ask here as well regarding broadband, whats the best offer anyone got with broadband with o2 retentions?

The retentions with o2 at the moment are truly shocking! I've got broadband with them and when I've enquired about it the guy in the mobile retention department SAYS he doesnt have any information about it on their system!
(I was afraid they would use it as a bargaining chip - ie. you will lose your £5 a month discount if you go anywhere else!)

Does this mean that you only need to be an O2 mobile customer at the time of the broadband signup?
