Does that just cover web browsing or things like video streaming, downloads etc?
Why don't you read the details on the O2 website, as you know what use you intend, rather than ask someone else to do it for you?
It's intended for use on your phone. If you want to use it as a modem and download tons of gigabytes a month, which is what it sounds like from your remark, you'll be in trouble.0 -

If you'd like to know the correct reason for the question as you quite clearly got it wrong (clever so and so!!) I will explain.
Because there's no deals about as written in this thread I have finally opted for simplicity to tide me over for now. The phone is in my name but my 13 year old daughter uses it, and as she is at school out of sight during the day I have no control on what she uses her phone for. I was actually concerned about incurring any surprising charges at the end of the month. THAT'S ALL.
Next time engage brain before commenting on what you think other people are doing !! :mad:0 -

Next time, engage your own brain before composing the question:
Does that just cover web browsing or things like video streaming, downloads etc?
As for your apparent distrust of your daughter's intelligence, and your lack of faith in your ability to have a sensible conversation explaining these issues, that isn't a problem anyone here can help you with.0 -
Looks like myself and the wife are about to depart to Vodaphone..
Im on the Simplicity £20 (600miles, 1200 texts & unlimited weekend calls), and the wife is a high PAYG customer.
I think the wife will fall onto a £20 p/m simplicity (30 day contract) for vodaphone of 600mins, unlimited texts.
I think ill fall onto the 18month £25 p/m 600mins, unlimited texts with a free C502.
I think the extra £5 p/m (£90) just pays for the phone, which is £90 to buy anyway.0 -

I thought I was asking sensible people a straightforward question that they may be able to answer on here through there own experiences of mobile internet usage but clearly YOU are the voice of the masses.
I stand corrected, next time I shall ask you directly and not post on the members forum!!0 -
Hello guys.
To my amazement I have just been retained by O2.
In short I was adamant I was getting my PAC code due to the limited discount retention deals they can offer of late.
After a pleasant 25 minute conversation with allot of banter, being put on hold to talk to supervisors etc I ended up with the following.
Free Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic
400 minutes
1000 texts
Unlimited o2 to o2 bolt on
Unlimited internet bolt on
£25 per month for 18 months
Half price on my current o2 broadband for the remainder of the contract (10 months).
I really had to push to get this but it was all good fun. I was prepared with the various competitors offers, pushed my ten year loyalty and just when he thought he had me I pushed for the extra bolt on. I understand this pails in comparison to the offers I and many others have secured before but at least it shows they have some flexibility.
So in conclusion the discount I received was
Free Phone (Usually £50 on this tariff)
£5 a month discount.
Additional bolt on, usually £7.50 a month.
Half price on my current broadband, roughly £5 a month.
Not too bad all said and done.
Good luck.

If you go through quidco/topcashback £90 casback on contract deals worth taking a quick look...:rotfl: Smile Your Saving:rotfl:0 -

To be honest that is a standard offer they are offering at the minute
My wife got same deal for £15 without the internet access and a friend of mine got the exact same deal as you but with 200 more mins for £20 which is what i wanted they are not wanting to move from their £25 a month offer so i asked for my pac code
I think you may get a cheaper deal from one of the high street stores but have a look around as the nokia 5800 is not new anymore.0
