For £20 18 months I got
BB Bold Refurb Free
600 mins
1000 Texts
BB Bolt On (Unlimited email & internet)
02/02 Bolt On
Great! I know I can push them now! I did use the tactic in saying my mate had got that deal and she said I was unable to get 2 free bolt ons!
She was also pressuring me to buy a pay as you go usb modem! for £30! no thanks!
The phone was free btw and wasnt a refurb.0 -
I noticed a few people have been offered 12 months free home broadband when they upgrade.
Has anyone who already has 02 broadband managed to get upgraded with free home broadband? They are telling me they can only offer it to new broadband customers.0 -
My contract is soon coming to an end and I'm planning to ring O2 retentions pretty soon. I'd be happy with the £20 Nokia 5800 deals that are about but I really don't fancy an 18 month contract or 600mins/1000txts. Wondering if they'll reduce the price if I ask for less texts - like 200txts 200mins.0
-
Spike87, I asked for half the 1000txts 600mins they gave me at £20/mo. They fed 500/300 through the system and it came up as £20/mo without the free internet. Totally nonsensical I know.0

me too, september is my upgrade but it's good bench mark already for whats on offer.
currently on :
400mins
1000txts
o2 to o2 bolt on
free internet bolt on
nokia n95
for £22.50
with the VAT reduction it's £22.02 and never paid a penny more since i've had it.
hopefully even better deals in 4months.
i've just bought a blackberry bold on ebay , so planning to sell last two phones which will come £10 less than i paid for my blackberry, haggle with them to change my bolt ons to the blackberry data just now.
Get another blackbery when it's upgrade time and flog it and pocket the wonga.
I love it when a plan comes together........almost :T
blackberry has arrived it's great, different from my usual nokia.
jammed packed with features and probably half i wont use, but it's well smart.
phoned o2 and changed my web bolt on for Blackberry data etc.. extra £2.50 a month as the BB data is £10 and a bolt on is £7.50, but i'm fine with that.
now just waiting till september to upgrade and get another then sell it, plus get my tarrif down to £20 and try and get free broadband too.

I managed to renew my 02 broadband yesterday and get it for free. But went the long way round. I called the to say I wanted to cancel my broadband and see what I get if I renew my contract. Spoke to someone from the broadband department. The guy sounded like he was half a sleep and cancelled my broadband straight away without confirming with me. Then he put me through to sales to renew it. So sales gave me 1 year free broadband. I will pay an extra £2.50 to get the faster speed broadband (£10 one). The hassle is I will have to send back my old modem and they are sending me a new one...
Didn't have to upgrade my phone, was just getting the broadband.0 -
Did they only offer you that bolt-on ( o2 to o2 ) or could you have got say unlimited texts?
Thanks for the reply :beer::beer:
I asked for the o2 to o2 as that was what I was getting on my existing Simplicity £20/month 800 min deal. I never use more than 150 or so texts a month so what they offered is more than enough.0 -
Thanks for all your help.
I've just got off the phone from retentions and ........
 Upgrades have stuffed up and I'm not due until June 12, but to phone back then and they will try to sort something then.
So, until then I will have a look at what I can get.0 -
Hi all, Im on the simplicity 20 tariff - getting 600mins and 500 texts and unlimited o2 to o2 calls. (only get 500 as I when I rang up and didnt renew my contract in 2007 and switched to sim free, cos it wasnt done 'online' i didnt get the 1000 everyone else gets! but that doesnt really matter to me).
I'd like to be able to go on the internet more often with my phone, but dont want it costing me a pound a day, what do you think the chances are of me getting a web bolt on added if I tell them I'm going to t mobile instead?0
