I tried them this morning as my 3rd month bill went out last night and they said no :(
So now I don't know whether to wait another month or two and be (possibly) offered a deal or to just buy it now without any discount. I just don't want to regret my decision as it's my first proper contract!!

Hi Guy's, this is my first post, great forum by the way!!

Been having a read through, and just wanted some info on going to Simplicity from contract?

Been with o2 for 5 years now roughly spending £30 but I hardly go over now, and spend £25, for this I get,

    600 xnet mins
    Unlimited texts
    512kb Internet.
    £25 per month.

I am used to the haggling with Retentions having done it for the last 4 years,

I would like to opt for the Simplicity deal and by my own phone, as I don't want to be stuck to an 18 month contract if I can help it!! There are always good offers about and the Simplicity gives me the option of getting "out" if a better deal arises.

I know I can beat my current deal, that's obvious, but I'm wondering has anybody had any discount on the Simplicity Deals???

The on I'm looking at is this,

    600 xnet mins
    1200 texts
Unlimited BlackBerry data ( This is now offered with the £20 and upwards Simplicity Deals )

    £20 per month.

I am wanting more texts that 1200 possibly 2000 or unlimited. Anyone managed to get this?? Or get the price to £15 as that is what I'm after.

    T-Mobile do,
    600 mins
    Unlimited texts
    Web and Walk
£20 per month sim only and it can be cancelled within 30 days notice, but ideally I don't want to swap networks

Any help appreciated, keep up the good work guys :beer::beer::beer:

    Sincerely LTH :T:T:T

Just called & been offered an 18month deal 600 mins 500 texts & unlimited internet & free HTC Ignito for £20.00 per month. If I wanted the HTC Guide I would have to pay £48 for the handset. Is this a good deal????

Love to find where it was selling for £350 - certainly not ebay as they go for around £220!

You'll be lucky to get even £200 for this phone as sony ericsons dont have good value. You would have been better off getting the blackberry bold.

Came out of my 18 month O2 contract last month, been a bit slack on deciding what to do next as, to make a good decision can involve a lot of research which I haven't been focused enough to do. I'm happy with my Sony Ericsson w880i and the last time I renewed my contract with O2, I managed to reduce the monthly bill from £30 to £19.50 for 400 min / 1,000 text per month and get the w880i thrown in.

Since I'm currently unemployed, having a shiny new toy... err phone, is not a priority when my existing one does the job. Can get an O2 sim-only simplicity deal for £15/m (300min/600texts) but wondering if I got a free upgrade, which I could then flog BNIB, I could effectively get my monthly cost down further by signing up to another 18 month contract. If so, what models are currently most desirable? Having said that, I can get £100 cashback if I jump ship and go over to get a monthly contract with Orange... options, options.

Has anyone managed to get better terms for switching to Simplicity by saying they want their PAK code? Ta.
