    Thanks,

I have not had a BB before, would you say the transition from my N82 be OK, I am quite technical with that type of stuff, I know they work different to any other type phones, they look sooooo good
    :j:beer:

I'm the wrong person to ask anything technical but I am very pleased with it. Lots of features that take a bit of getting used to but dead handy being able to send receive emails/surf the net anywhere. I've still got to work out the WiFi bit of the internet - doesn't always seem to switch over to it.

Forget asking o2 Tech Support - they have no Blackberry experts, if they can't sort you out they keep you on hold while they call RIM. You are better off going into an o2 shop with any set up / tech queries

    Thanks for your help Mate,

They are handy as you say, a device for all needs one way or another in it!!:beer:

I'm about a 12 days or so from the end of my contract, so I'm well into my upgrade period... Would I be better upgrading mid-end next week as it's closer to the end of the month. Oh this is my 3rd 12 month contract, been through upgrades/retentions before, I'm currently on 200mins, 200texts and free internet bolt on for £25.00, just under.
    Looking to get SE C905.

Well, once again, I've been told the only tariff o2 are able to discount for me is the £45 one which they can bring down to £40. That's for a Nokia E71/Blackberry with 1200 minutes, 1000 texts and the unlimited internet/Blackberry bolt on.

At the moment, I'm paying £25 per month for 800 mins, 2400 texts and unlimited internet - and I got a N95 8GB with that. Apparently the problem is that I had a £15 per month discount last time. (Oh, and I use less than 300 mins per month on average, less than 500 texts and roam internationally a fair bit).

Hmmm - now seriously thinking about what to do... take up the offer, move to a simplicity tariff or say bye bye to o2 after four years!

Im in a similar situation to you, im currently on 600mins, 1000 texts for £20 month and have phoned retentions for an upgrade to a blackberry bold on a 18months contract for £20 per month but they just won't allow it. The best they offered me is £29.XX for 18months but have to pay £48.XX for the phone and it seems there sticking to the guns and when i say i know that they have offered free blackberry bolds on a £20 per month contract they deny all knowledge of it and say it would be impossible for them to do that.

Have requested my pac now and will wait to see if they will phone me up with a better offer!

Don't count on it! They did call me and after saying "let's see what we can do for you", proceeded to offer me exactly the same deal...! They cannot discount any tariff under £45 for me apparently. :(

Got a letter through from O2 saying I am entitled to an upgrade now, even though my contract doesn't run out until end of September 09. I am currently on O2 35 with 600 Minutes 500 Texts & Unlimited Mobile Data.

Now I was interested in the rumoured new iPhone, that doesn't exist and won't exist to quote O2. So I called them to see. They have offered me either:

    £150 Credit to my account.

    £155.61 for the iPhone 3G 16GB on 18Mth £35
    £57.74 for the iPhone 3G 16GB on 24Mth £35

Or switch to Simplicity 1 month contract now on the £19.58/Month tariff with 600 minutes, 1200 texts and unlimited Web.

Debating just switching to Simplicity and saving £15/Mth and when/if the new iPhone launches just move from Simplicity to a new iPhone tariff.

What's the thoughts will I be able to do that, or should I hold fire?
    Cheers

The only thing i can offer is just really think hard about getting the iphone ive had one for a week and sent it back and everyone i know that has had one has said its the worst phone they have owned lots of hype for a phone that should be a stroke of brilliance however it was a bigger let down than liverpool not winning the prem again
