paying 30-35 month and 18 mth contract ends..
don't need a phone but do need internet/web bolt on

offered 18 month £20 with loads of minutes and texts that i'll never use with web and £150 cashback
    equals £11.66 month
or no cashback and a phone ( could probably get one to sell for more than £150)
is this the best i'll be offered?

Get the Blackberry Bold from them. You can sell that for around £250.

Just upgraded, their second offer hit the nail on the head so I went for it:

    Free Nokia 5800
    600 mins
    1000 texts
    Unlimited web/data bolt on
£20 pcm (same amount I've been paying for the last 18 months).

That sounds brilliant though. Has anyone else been offered a deal like this? I haven't seen anybody get 600 minutes for anything under £20!

I have just been offered a SE W705 as I asked for a slide phone, with 400 mins, 1000 texts, unlimited O2-O2 for 18mths at £15 providing I bought a PAYG internet dongle for £29.35. Any opinions please?

Anybody else had this kind of offer with the dongle, as I don't want one but she said it was the only way to get the £15 deal, I have been on the simplicity tarrif at £15 up until now, then a different contract before that. Would appreciate some opinions as I really need to get a new phone soon. Does anyone think that if I ring back I might be able to get it without the dongle? Also want to stick to SE but don't know much about the phone, thanks.

Just a warning to everyone to take a very careful note of whatever deal you're offered - and ideally record the conversation.

There's a big difference between what we agreed over the phone and what's actually on the new bills, and O2 are being very difficult about sorting it out. The so-called 'complaints' people seem to be asleep - no reply from them in days.

Ofcom next to register a mis-selling complaint against O2.
