    o2 are useless

only got £130 credit on my bill instead of £150 and line rental is £18 and not £10

now i have to waste my time explaining this to some idiot on the phone.

complete, utter joke of a company

What does it say on your letter that you got confirming the deal?

I got offered the following deals

    18month contract
    £15 a month

    Free - Refurb Blackberry Bold
    400 mins
    1000 texts
    unlimited o2-o2 calls

    and

    18month contract
    £20 a month

    Free - Refurb Blackberry Bold
    600 mins
    1000 texts
    unlimited o2-o2 calls
    Blackberry bundle

I want the £15 deal as I will sell the Bold on Ebay - net of costs I expect around £250 - would prefer the deal to include unlimited web bolt-on but difficult to get this offered as I just get offered the £20 deal with Blackberry bundle - anyone had success ? Any other phones got similar resale value ?
  • Called O2 upgrades, was straight away given this offer...
    Nokia 5800 new - free
    500 mins
    100 text
    O2 to O2 Unlimited
    18months contract
    £15 a month
    12 months free home broadband

Very happy.... accepted the offer....

Hi I called up asking for N96 on £35 month tariff but was told it was £225 so asked what else they could offer. I settled on SE C905 for £20 per month on 18 month contract.

    I got
    - 600mins
    - 1000 texts
    - Unlimited Web
    - Free SE C905
    - 8Gb Memory Card
    - 18 Month Contract
    - £20/month

I was offered the above and they called back saying that their systems were down and that the best they could do was actually £25 a month and not £20 as previously quoted. I said that I would probably just get N96 free from third party as £10 a month discount was not enough to tempt me to stay! I also said that I'd be happy with £25 with free Wifi as well but the manager eventually agreed to original offer.

My bills were usually a couple of £ above line rental although a couple were about £100 due to being abroad so that would have bumped average up a bit!

I'm miffed. Just phoned O2 to see if I could get a better deal than the one they offered me a month ago. Phone is being cancelled tomorrow so thought they might offer me a good deal to stay, but they said I don't spend enough so can't get what I want.

    I asked for 200 mins,
400 text - not really bothered about all those though
free O2 to O2 - not too bothered about that either
    on 18month contract
for £10 month and a disc of £100 - £150 for not having a phone.

All they said they could offer was the Simplicity 30 day contract which is
    150 mins
    300 texts
for £10 a month with no discount

I've turned it down and I'm going to ring again in a bit see if I can get anyone else. That advisor wouldn't budge.

If I can't get a better deal, I'll probably let the cancellation go through, its only my spare phone anyway, so don't really need it.

What's the chance do you reckon of getting a better deal?

I rang back again, this time I got offered
    400 mins
    500 text
    free O2 to O2
£150 discount for not wanting another phone
    18 month contract
    £15 per month
So works out at £6.67 a month over the 18 months.

I accepted that offer, thought it was the best I'd probably get. I asked if I could have £10 per month on a 24 month contract, but was told 24 month contract would make no difference.

Does anyone know if there are any good iPhone deals offered by the retentions department? My contract is up for renewal next week - currently paying £35/month, and really would like an iPhone!
  • You can get an iPhone for £35 a month on a 24 mth contract. Retentions might be able to do a better deal on that though.

the guy in retentions told me straight away he couldnt do any deals on the iphone or the n96...

watsup with the phones.. i have gone past my renewal date...

i was really after the n96 but other than that 2 phones have caught my eye .. n85 (orange) and n79 (t-mobile)... i have offered to swap my o2 discount against these..

actually ... for the n96, after o2 discount.. it should be £31.50 a month on the £45 tariff but thats still kind of out of my budget. do orange people have a limit on the number of F&F discounts they can get
