Are you sure the 130 is not before vat???I guess 130 before vat equals to around 149.5 including the 15% vat very close to 150 you were promised.
I had 150 cashback too but it was including vat and the communication letter i had received says it is 130.something.....equalling to 150pounds after vat.....
you may be right, although from what i can remember it was £130 after VAT.
even so im gonna have to call them to get this explained, as it is far from easy to understand0 -
out of interest, do you think i could have got them to switch the unlimted o2 with free internet?
Yes, I was on the simplicity deal of 200 mins,400 texts with free O2 to O2 calls. They swapped it to free internet bolt on instead. (I had emailed and asked, was surprised when they said yes).
I have just taken out an 18 month contract, on the £30 tariff, which I again swapped the O2 to O2 calls for the internet, all for £20/month. Maybe they allowed the swap because of my original simplicity deal.0 -
I'm in the last month of an 18 month contract (currently paying £30 a month for 400 mins and 1000 texts) and o2 rang me the other day to offer me a simplicity tariff with similar minutes and texts for £20 a month. They caught me offguard so I said yes, but I just rand back there and was offered the following:
free reconditioned Blackberry bold
600 minutes
2000 texts
unlimited blackberry bolt-on
18 month contract
for £20 a month - so I accepted! :-)
I didn't really want a new phone as the only phone I would like is the iphone but I've read here that o2 cannot discount them and I just can't justify spending that amount of money on a phone when I can get a lot cheaper!
What I was thinking afterward tho is if I sold the blackberry on ebay and bought an iphone instead, could I use my sim in the iphone - I know the blackberry bolt-on is only for use with blackberry phones but would o2 change the blackberry bolt-on to unlimited web instead do you think? Or would I have to pay extra?
Thanks in advance if anyone can shed a light on this for me :-)0 -

You'll be able to use the sim card in the iphone but you should check with O2 if they'd swap the blackberry bold-on for unlimited web; I don't see why not though!
Thanks for the super quick reply! I will ask o2 before I am tied into the contract as they may be more willing to swop it knowing that I am allowed to change my mind. I just didn't know whether they would ask why I wanted to change it and maybe not offer me the free phone if they know I am planning on selling it?
Thanks again for ur help :-)0 -
