I also heard that if the phone breaks, it's very expensive to repair, so that's why they aren't pushing it.
ok so what would one reccomend? i want the phone to have wifi, a bloody good camera and good memory?0 -

I've got a Samsung Omnia. Not sure the deals you can get on it though.
I'm currently on o2 and paying £35 p/m, handset was free, and I get 1000 texts and 600 anytime/any network minutes.
The phone has a 5 MP camera, with effects, flash etc. Wi-fi, bluetooth, HSDPA (3G+ internet speed, very quick, I can stream TV with it!)
It is quite expensive, but is a very good phone!

My partner has been with o2 on pay as you go for years.. then 10 months ago went for a £15 simplicity package, 30 days notice etc.
Now she wants to 'upgrade' and go pay monthly, i told her to phone retentions and they said there is nothing they can do for her and told her to phone back when she has been with the simplicity deal for a year!! She even asked for her PAC code, that did nothing and they sent it..
Anyone get any good deals from simplicity to pay monthly.. and does she REALLY have to be with o2 for a year to get any sort of good deal... me thinks they are fobbing her off...0 -
Just thought i'd write about my experience with O2 in the hope it helps out others currently after an upgrade (and to ask for advice from someone who perhaps works for O2!) - have been with O2 for about 4 years on a £35pm contract, but have been paying £20 a month for the past 3 years or so after getting my line rental discounted by retentions for the past two contracts.
Have rung retentions twice now with the hope of getting the C905 deal that a few people have mentioned on here (£20, 600 mins, unlimited texts + internet), but they're not offering it to me at the moment as they say that i haven't contributed enough over the course of my contract to get this deal.
The first girl i spoke to offered me the C905 free, but for £35 per month and was not interested in discounting or offering any other deals.
I rang again a few days ago and the guy i spoke to offered me a much better deal (free C905, 800 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited O2-O2 weekend calls) for £25 pm (discounted from £40). However, i'm not bothered about the O2-O2 calls and would really like to swap these for the unlimited web bolt-on, but the guy said he couldn't do this on this tariff as it's quite an old one.
My question for someone from O2 is, is there anyway i can get the web bolt on for free? Also, is this the best i am likely to be offered or should i try again? I realise that i probably can't get the £20 per month deal that several on here have reported, but would be happy with the deal i've been offered if i could get the web bolt-on.
Thanks in advance!0 -
Whats the best and cheapest deal i could get from O2 if i hold onto my own phone so i get credit on my bill plus unlimited internet?0

Probably £10 a month with 400/600 mins, 500/1000 texts and bolt-on with £100/£150 pounds credit on your account max.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
Have people managed to get the web bolt on in a £10 a month contract?0

Ur right the N85 is an excellent phone much better then the N96. Unfortunately o2 doesnt supply this phone so I had to buy it on PAYG and them use my o2 sim in it.0
