Ok, cheers for the update0 -
Hi folks,
I'm coming up to my last month with o2, I'm currently on a contract for £25 a month with the following:
400 minutes
1000 texts
1MB browsing
O2 to O2 Talk Unlimited
So I'm looking to get free answer phone and mobile internet with that... would they do that???
But the bigger issue is my phone is on its way out, so I need to get a free one on renewal. I need some help though as I'm completely out of the techie scene when it comes to mobiles, I'm after something that has a relatively large numeric keypad as my fingers are too big for these newer tiny button phones and something with decent web browsing facilities too?
Touch screen would be the best direction I guess to get around the small buttons! But I had a XDA trion last time I renewed and it was awfull!
Any advice?0 -

Sounds like a Nokia 5800 or iPhone for you then... or maybe HTC but i'm not sure what phones they do for O2
Best bet though is to do some research though mate as your requirements are a bit vague so we could be listing phones all day and take the thread off topic (no offence meant)0 -
Hi matthewbennion,
as morph3us recommended, it would be better to do some research on what phone you like as well as what is available. you could go into a shop such as carphone warehouse or phones 4 u, not with a view to actually getting it from there, but to have a look at the handsets, and find out what models you like the feel of and features of, before trying to renew your contract.0 -

cheers for your advice I popped in this weekend to the o2 shop but I couldn't find anything suited to people with large fingersHowever the 5800 does look hopefull!

hi matthew,
my partner has a similar problemand struggled to find a phone he could get on with, but he has just got the 5800 and is happy with it. the touch keypad has quite large buttons on the normal alphanumeric keypad option and you can use it with a full qwerty keypad option as well (though i think the stylus is a must- the handwriting recognition seems pretty good with it as well)
you main problem at the moment is its out of stock as robert 1980 posted earlier today (and the nokia shop we got partners phone from said they have been told nokia are struggling to keep up with demand and are expecting a nationwide shortage as it has been so popular!)
one of the mainthings is be polite and ask what they can do for you to start with, then stay polite and ask if there is anything more they can include such as unlimited web etc on top. and if at first you dont succeed, as everyone here advises, try calling againhth
