Can you get more minutes and less text's with this deal?0

Hey all does anyone know what companys qualify for the o2 discount?0
-
phoned today as contract ends 21st april. knowing that i was a day early, i deliberately acted dumb to see what they would say. quoted vodafone £25 600mins unltd txt 18 month with 5800 deal. was told they can easily beat it without saying by how much and that i can get 5800 but it's currently out of stock. i can request cancellation from tomorrow but if i phone back monday most phones should be back in stock .
i enquired about other phones inc the o2 serra which i was told is online only and is not part of any retention deals. shame as that is what i wanted.
will post on monday what i get.0 -

200 mins
400 texts
18 month contract
£10 per month
£150 credit
If you mean this deal, then they look at your usage history and then tell you what they can do for you,my husband was using 300 minutes a month,so they would not let him have this deal, he had one that worked out at about £8 a month after cashback, but included 400 minutes, 1000 texts.0 -
What was your usage? How did you get that offer once you were through to retentions?
I'm also looking to get this deal because i'm struggling bigtime due to this damn credit crunch!
How do i get it though, just say i want to cancel, then get put through and say "can i have the 200 min 400 txt deal with £150 credit deal please or i'm leaving"???0 -

If it's of any use, I got this by asking what deal they could offer for 24 months:
24 month contract
200 minutes/400 texts
Free unlimited O2 to landline calls
£10pm
£150 immediate credit to cover the first 15 months
So: £3.75 pm net over the 24 months
My usage was around 30 minutes a month on a £30pm e2save cashback contract. I'd already given 30 days notice of cancellation, so they knew I was leaving unless we could agree a deal.0 -

I rang o2, and asked to be put through to retentions, i then told them I had a friend getting the 200 mins, 400 texts, £150 sim only 18 month contract and I would like it too please. The gentleman, said he would do his best but it depended on my usage history, as I had only used 200 minutes on average per month over the last year I was allowed the deal, unlike my husband whose average usage was 300 minutes, we both spoke to the same guy, straight after each othe and he was very apologetic that he could not have the same deal as me. You do need to be coming to the end of a contract with o2 to do this.0 -
I have been offered about a week ago
18 months contract
no phone
400 mins
1000 text
unlimited o2-o2 calls
web bolt on
12 months free home broadband
£15 a month with £150 credit to my account
Works out to about £6.67 pm0 -
I got 18 months, 600 mins, 1000 texts, unlimited data (i.e. Internet on my mobile) for £20 per month and a Sony Experia X1 for an additional £97 making it £25 a month roughly. Chuffed with that as I really wanted either a X1 or a HTC Touch HD. Found O2 to be brilliant on retentions and got the deal on my first call. Well done O2!!0
