It was offered to me straight off after I told them I wanted 2000 texts for £20 but then they said they'd only do 1000 for £20.

I was on O2 35 18 months so that's probably why. Your money pot won't be as big and so they won't offer as good deals to you.

• Ok, short changed again! I'm almost sure I agreed O2 35 with 600 mins, 1000 texts, unlimited web for £20. What I got however was only 500 texts and my contract doesn't expire to August 2012. Should I challenge them on it, since I'm almost sure it was 1000 texts which was agreed? And no, I didn't think 3 year contracts existed.

• nightmare, i just checked mine online and it's already been added and the phone is on it's way for delivery tomorrow.

use it as a further bargaining tool and see if you can get more money back on it for the hassledevil.gif

Hey,

Just to let you all know, the SE C905 is back down to free on the £35 a month contract on the O2 website. It seems to have gone up and down, but it's back down at free. Who knows how long it'll last at that price though, so time to get in there.

A week or so ago, I went for the SE C905, managed to get the £35 a month contract down to £20 a month, but I had to pay the £97.83 (or whatever it was) for the phone. The only way I could have got the phone free was going for the £45 a month contract reduced to £30, but I didn't want that big a monthly spend, nor did I need that amount of inclusive mins (also, the other way was a better deal over the 18 months).

But I noticed yesterday the price of the phone went back down (it had gone up just before my negotiation phase started, which was annoying) to free, so I gave them a call and they have refunded me the money for the phone. The good thing is, my bill isn't calculated till the 3rd of April, so the charge and the credit will be on the same bill, so I'll never have to pay for it (it'll just net off to 0). They said they give people 14 days (think that's what he said) to just return it, so I could have done that, then done the deal again, but he said there was no point in that, it made more sense to just credit me the money back.

So in the end, I got:

SE C905 (free of charge)
600 mins
1000 texts
Free web bolt on

£20 a month.

So I must say I'm very happy now, especially since I got the phone free of charge in the end since they've decided to put the cost of it back down :D Some more spending money for me!

Hope you all have good luck with your deals.

Thanks,

Graham.

Hello guys,

I'm due for my upgrade and I'm considering the c905, in the hope I can sue it as a Sat Nav. I've been googling a bit and I'm not 100% sure how this would work.

Obviously it has the functionality but what if anything would it cost be to use the service? if I get the web bolt on would this cover all costs to use the Google maps facility? I understand that wayfinder is only a trial but its the other possible costs that I'm unsure off.

Many Thanks.

Martin.

Why does everyone have to sue everything these days? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Quite a few phones have sat nav on them now, so don't restrict yourself to that one if there's something you like better. I know some Nokia have a subscription for Nokia maps for a limited period however I'd assume all you'd pay for Google maps is the cost of access the web from your phone, which in your case would be free if you get your bolt on.
