so all sorted now then?0

I have a Nokia 6210 Navigator (on vodafone) and that came with Google Maps and Nokia Maps.... but use data for downloading maps / routes and I think possibly charge a fee for getting access to voice instructions if I want to be directed....
However I just installed Garmin on my phone and now its all free.
Oh and if its aGPS as opposed to just normal GPS... the "a" means "assisted" so it downloads some data to locate sattelites quicker.... this may or may not cost you data charges too.0 -

So they say anyway! My account hasn't been updated to reflect that though but then again, they did say it could be 24 hours. But if past experience with O2 is anything to go by, I'll be ringing again tomorrow...Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
well i got my phone today and been using it as much as i can in work. surprised how easy it is to use considering i was worried about going to a full touchscreen phone. still annoyed i never got the £20 deal though i think i'll just accept it, as i'm happy with the phone and the unlimited web and still saving money.0

Yea I got mine today as well, the phone itself is fine but I think it's O2 that is the letdown! Of course, none of them are probably any better!Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

Hello guys,
I'm due for my upgrade and I'm considering the c905, in the hope I can sue it as a Sat Nav. I've been googling a bit and I'm not 100% sure how this would work.
Obviously it has the functionality but what if anything would it cost be to use the service? if I get the web bolt on would this cover all costs to use the Google maps facility? I understand that wayfinder is only a trial but its the other possible costs that I'm unsure off.
Many Thanks.
Martin.
Hi,
I just got this phone recently. The O2 one doesn't come with google maps - they have messed about with the firmware as usual.
You can however download google maps from google and it's free with the web bolt on. However, with the current version of the O2 firmware and google maps, you will only be able to use the mobile phone tower tracking with google maps - it won't use the proper GPS, the satellites. You know this because when you load it up, it gives you an approximate position (it says within like half a mile or something), so you know it's not using the satellites.
The phone does work with the satellites though using the GPS, just not through google maps. (When you get the phone, upgrade the firmware http://forum.o2.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=15718 and it makes the GPS lock in quicker). No one really knows if this is a problem with google, or O2, no one will really answer it. So we don't know if google will release a new one that works. Apparantly the unbranded C905 works fine with google maps, so it seems to be O2 messing about that has caused the problem. I believe this is a problem with other networks too. You can pay to get it unbranded, but it'll void the warranty so I read. Hopefully a new version will be released soon to fix this - let me know if you find out.
Thanks,

200 mins
400 texts
18 month contract
£10 per month
£150 credit
So £1.67 per month :money::T
I asked for this but was refused, I was told the best deal would be £125 credit... I don't suppose you know who you talked to or if anyone here can help?0 -

Hi Paul, welcome to MSE
I'm afraid that retentions do not have anything to do with new contracts, they are there to retain existing customers so you wont get any deals on a sim only.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0
