Those new flashy toys (5800, renoir, c905) look nice and probably will do for office workers and people wearing suits.
Are they any good for parents playing with their kids on playgrounds?
Can they be kept in trouser pockets without damaging them?
Are they sandprof?
It's time to ask O2 for a new handset for my OH but she needs something robust enough to survive more than a month.
Start by deciding what features the phone MUST have and then choose. For robustness, the plain Nokia 6300 (plus some account credit!) would be a good choice as there is no slide or flip to break and changing the (mostly metal) fascia is not hard or expensive.
But....does she want a good web browser? music player? GPS & maps? camera capable of taking decent, printable shots?0 -
Dang! I only got a £100 credit on the 200 mins/400 text deal last night. Do you reckon there is anything I can do?0

My contract runs out in the next few weeks, and I really want to change to a 1 month cheap contract until the next iPhone release. The £10 a month simplicity plan looks fine, is there any way I could haggle a cheaper monthly price on it in the mean time?0

You are allowed to cancel the deal you accepted under their cooling off period.
So cancel it and start again.
(They might improve the deal whilst you are giving them the instructions to cancel the deal)0 -

I got 400 texts and 200 mins for £10, instead of £15. They gave me £5 discount for 6 months.
I just compared the tariff to like Vodafone's sim only. They are doing more texts for £10. (if you are a texter)0 -
