Hi, does anyone have any information on carphonewarehouse-o2 sim only upgrade offers?
Cheers,
Nicksomething missing0 -
Hi
For the past 3 - 4 years, I have been using a old XDA and just sold a new phone on ebay and used the sim card... It is finally starting to go wrong, and think it is time to upgrade.
I was spending £30 a month (including costs for internet e.t.c.).
I have just been offered the deal for £20 that others have had, tons of mins, texts (which I will never use) but free internet and a new phone.
I love the fact that my XDA is windows powered and it just auto syncs all contacts and my diary, but most importantly, all my notes (I make tons when I am out).
I have been offered loads, but I am stuck between the following:
Nokia 5800 (which I know you can use Nokia mail that is meant to do a few similar things)... does anyone have any experience?
LG Renoir, seems like rubbish for business, but a really cool consumer phone.
Or Sony Xperia X1 if I pay a extra £15 a month, or a one off fee of £100 (I would rather pay the one off). Windows Powered and will let me do wat I currently do
What would you do!? I am so stuck right now0 -
cant you just get a newer xda??0
-
Want to, but they said they can not offer any deals at all on any xda phones... a bit dissapointed.0
-
i was wanting the serra or x1 but might settle for 5800 after reading about the poor offers on the windows phones. i was going to then sell it then buy one of the ones i want. will have to see what they offer first though.0
-
bloody hell, i didnt know that, how about getting the most expensive phone for free selling it on ebay and buying a new xda off ebay?0

i went to the o2 store in the westfield centre after work
the drone behind the till told me i could have a free 5800. to which i said how much would my line rental be. he told me he didnt know.
what a F!!!ING idiot. wasted 15 minutes of my day to find out if i could have the phone for free then told me he wouldnt know how much my line rental is and if it could be discounted
I didnt even bother talking about my 30% BBC discount
i was very tempted to take the phone then claim i was told line rental was £10 per month but couldnt be bothered with the hassle.
he also said he cant access any notes from calls ive made to customer servces.0 -

The claiming he said £10, just wouldn't work. You'd sign papers which stated how much it was..
And he was correct, he cannot see notes from what CS have left, it's a different system.0 -
15 minutes?! lol. It's free on the £30pm tariff FYI. You'd be able to use your 30% discount on a new or upgraded line in store.

the tihng was that the guy was quite happy to hand me over the phone there and then without me signing anything and without him even knowing or telling me what my line rental would be.
it's a total joke that they jump into bed with big companies and offer staff discounts. but the discounts are pointless as any tom !!!!!! and harry can phone retentions and get a better deal than they are prepared to offer to these so called partners.
it's made even worse by the fact that through cash backs and quidco i can get a better deal on orange (who have better customer serivce imo and better reception where i live and work) as a new customer0 -
I really want the Blackberry Bold, upgrades have told me that they will offer it on £45 a month, 600 mins, 1000 txt and Blackberry Unlimited UK bolt on. I know I can get it for £35 a month online also with the option of switching to orange. Things is I've been told that if I wait until 29 March retentions can offer me a better deal than what upgrades are offering me now. Is it really worth me waiting until then or do you think I'll not get it battered down to under £35 a month? Cancelling my contract isn't a problem as they put me on one of those simplicity 30 day rolling contracts. Not bothered about changing my number either. Any pointers would be appreciated.0
