200mins / 400 texts per month, unlimited o2-o2 call, 18 months contract and £10 per month, £150 credit to her account for keeping her existing phone.
She is a light user - typically 100mins per month, 50 texts.
Thats the deal that I wanted. My current contract runs out on April 16th. I phoned the other day asking what deal they could give me, said I didn't want an upgrade, all they offered was £15 a month and a £75 credit for not having a phone.
I am only a light user as this is a second phone for me.0 -

You would defiantly be better on the simplictiy 10... £9.79 a month, 150mins 300messages. 30 day rolling contract. :beer:0 -

Why?!
I would say the retention offer is better as it works out at £1.67 per month! Ok so you're tied into an 18 month contract but that's hardly a problem seeing as it's only £1.67 a month. You also get more minutes and more texts.
I've been offered the same retention deal and I think I'm gonna go for that one as there aren't really any phones that I want at the moment.0 -

Ignore me, was a little tired when posting that! - I didn't realise that it was £10pm plus £150 resign credit.. thought the £150 resign credit brought it down to £10pm. :rotfl:0 -

Try again (and again if necessary) - you've got nearly a month in which to do a deal. Als ask what they can offer for a 24 month contract - I got a better deal that way as a light user.0 -
Thought I would add my piece as I have been reading this thread with interest. I believe that everyone can upgrade 1 month early as I always have been able to.
I just got my upgrade today. I was really surprised that I was offered exactly what I asked for on first try.
I got
FREE Blackberry Bold
1200 mins
1000 texts
Unlimited email and internet access
18 month contract
£30 a month.
I was on online 30 anyway, and always went over my minutes, meaning that I was paying between £40 and £50 a month.
I suppose I could have got a bit better had I tried, but I am happy with this as I will be paying less a month than I have done for ages plus I got the Blackberry free.

My monthly spend was £65 pm on a 9 month contract and I upgraded 3 months early on a 12 month contract, so at month 9. I was a gold customer, but my new deal is £30 pm so I will lose my gold status, so come next time my position won't be as good when I try to strike a deal.0

Gold for over £50 (3 month early upgrade)
Silver for over £35 (30 day early upgrade)
Blue for any less (30 day upgrade)
More details here http://www.o2blueroom.co.uk/O2PriorityList/ you can find out which one you're on by phoning 202 and asking. You might not be categorised yet though as its still rolling out, if not you'll either be select or not.
O2 website:- Silver - total spend between £35.01 - £50
- Gold - total spend between £50.01 - £80
- Platinum - total spend over £80

Have my plans been scuppered?????
I am currently on a 12 months deal with e2Save where I have to send in bills 6,8,10 and 12 before I get my cash back.
I have just got my 12 months bill and sent it away but yesterday I got a phone call off a e2save rep asking if i wanted a new contract etc with them.
I said I was looking about and then she must have had access to my o2 account as she asked if I had already upgraded, as it said my new renewal date was september 2010.
I said I had spoken to o2, then she said I might not get the last cash back if I have already signed a new deal is this right???? Or was she just trying to get me to sign to them.
If so I will need to cancel my new redemption deal until I get the £96 they owe me...0
