I have been in the same position waited 5 weeks for my replacement handset:mad: that arrived today and it is still faulty (gap on right hand corner ). I made may phone calls and was offered a similar spec handset in exchange I aske about iphone and I could go onto that contract but no deals will be done as 02 are bound by apple as to what they charge ,I asked about recon iphone and after a discussion with the manager they would have done me one of those for free on £35pm contract but it was a not go as it was not in stock. I called when I got the replacement and they have promised (heard that one before around 5 weeks ago lol ) I will gwt a doorstep swap on fri for anither 5800 so I will see what happens .

hi veryone,

i upgraded lastweek ,got my phone n95 8gb on £20 18 months 600 min&02-02 free calls.

But till today i have not received any paper work from o2 about new contract.is this ok??I was under the impression once u upgrade you get a letter about new contract details and evrything?

any thoughts...

If i can log into O2 upgrades online (says online you can only do this when you have one month left on your contract), am I eligible for a rentention deal?
My online account says Contract End: May 2009(started may 2008, well that was my first bill) - So do i need to wait until after may?
Do O2 do 12 month retention deals, i dont know if i want a 18 month contract.
What are the best phones out at the moment?, I want a Sony Ericsson phone again.

Gold = 3 months early
Platinum = 6 months early (6 month early through account manager, 3 months early through all over channels)

Just been offered retention deal with O2 for my wife as her contract expired and I wondered what everyone thought:

200mins / 400 texts per month, unlimited o2-o2 call, 18 months contract and £10 per month, £150 credit to her account for keeping her existing phone.

She is a light user - typically 100mins per month, 50 texts.
