Yea but since we can't see the notes, how do we know they aren't jut saying it isn't in the notes? Or maybe they're told not to write any deals in the notes, so they don't have to honour them in the future?

Maybe. I emailed them a brief note of what had been agreed over the phone, and they confirmed it. I've now at least got it in writing (including an extension of the normal 7 days).

    6800

    200 mins

    400 text

    18 month deal

I assume you mean 5800? And is this without the web bolt on?
Sorry just read your post above which confirms this.
  • I have just been offered:
    • 18 month contract / £20 a month
    • 600 mins
    • 1000 texts
    • unlimited internet
    • sony erriccson c905 (could have had 150 credit)
what do you reckon? I only need 50 mins and 500 texts, but I want the phone so I dont think I could get it much lower with a phone.

Just spoke to a lovely girl in retentions and got the following deal which im well pleased with

    600 mins
    1000 texts
    Unlimited internet

    Sony Xperia X1

    £35 reduced to £20 for 18 months

    RESULT

I read this and wondered if I could get his offer as I had already taken the resign credit on my account..

So I phoned up and said my own phone was playing up and could I change my deal, the guy said I could as I was in my 14 days so he took my new deal off and tried to get the X1 but I will have to :-
    pay £50 for the phone,
    800 mins
    1000 txt's
unlimited web bolt on for £25 a month...
did you know have to pay anything for the phone???????????

I said I will have a think about it... as I would like less mins but hoped to get it for the £20 you were offered... :)

Well, well well. Here's what I got in response to my email:

"We value our customer and treat them equal..... the offers keep on change every know and than..... I'm unable to comment on upgrades team as they are the specialist team".

Hmmmm....... probably better off taking a phone. Anyone know any phones that have wifi within the £20/mth bracket?

The Nokia 5800 has wifi I think, and most people have got offers for £20 a month on it. And did you just copy the text straight from the e-mail? If so, that's shocking English for a major UK corporation!

I'm sure he did. The call centre handling the emails is in India, though. They speak English rather better than I speak their language!
