guys everyone seems to know alot more than me, so hoping i can get some advise:

my upgrade is due tommorow. im currently on:

    1200 minutes any network
    1000 texts
    unlimited o2 to o2 minutes.
    currently £45 per month
    18 month contract ending 2mrw.

now i really want the blackberry 8900 curve, and im happy to reduce my cross network minutes. all i want is as follows:

    approx 400-600 cross network minutes
    unlimited 02 to 02 minutes
    web bolt on.

whats my chances of getting a deal sorted? i thought i would get the heads up before i call o2?!

For what it's worth, the best deal I can get is £10pm for 18 months with £125 cashback. Only 75 minutes and 125 texts, and no new phone. No bolt-ons either.

They won't budge on this deal and maintain that the much better deals quoted on forums are made up.

I imagine they can do better than this, but who knows?

Hello - have been browsing this forum with great interest over the last few days as I am upgrading. Anyway this is my result (after 2 days and speaking to 4 different people):

For £15 per month (on an 18 month contract):
    • 200 mins
    • 600 texts
    • free 02 to 02 calls (most of my calls are to 02 mobiles)
    • free unlimited web bolt-on
    • £150 credit (for not taking a phone)
    Previously, I was paying £20 per month for 18 months for 400 mins, 500 texts so now , I am very very happy!:j :j :j :j :j

    That would do me ;)

My contract runs out on 12th April, its a 12 month one with E2Save.
I have had no problems with E2save at all and I am only awaiting the final bill to send off.

Would I be ok to telephone up on the 12 March to ask for upgrade.
I have been with o2 since goodness knows when on pay as you go so would all of that still allow me "credits" towards what ever tariff I finally accept.

    Regards

    Dave H.
  • Just had a renewal from O2 - seems pretty good but I'm sure you'll let me know if its not:
275 xnet minutes, 250 txts, no rollover
    £5/month - keep ex phone
    24m contract

So basically ur monthly line rental works out to £10 a month over the 18 months and not £1.67 like u have mentioned before?

Line rental is £10 per month. But i have £80 credit which will pay for 8 months.

Remaining 10 months i will have to pay £10 per month.

    :)

I'd been on the old Genie £10 a month tarriff for about 8 years and wasn't expecting to be offered as much as some people reported here. I got a slightly different offer when I phoned them today. It seems to depend who you're talking to.

    Today's offer was:

400 minutes and 1000 texts for £15 per month
    £150 credit
    Free O2 to O2 calls
Free standard home broadband for 12 months

    or

200 minutes and 400 texts for £10 per month
    £75 credit
    Free O2 to O2 calls
Free standard home broadband for 12 months

These are both 18 month contracts. I went for the first as it's only £15 more than the second.

They told me to get a MAC code from Talktalk. I'm not sure that will work because I'm taking my phone line back to BT. Has anyone else gone from Talktalk to O2?

Both actually, new releases and new stock. Interested in the N85 or if still possible, the N78.

I'm not sure I can get the N96 for free on my current contract. The N85 seems to offer the best set of features for the price without the alleged issues of the N96.
The only new N series that I'm aware of is the N97, but that's not due for a few more months yet.

N78 I think they've stopped selling now aswell.. hope someone else can help with this one!
