so have you actually received a phone as part of the package?
it sounds very much as if the £150 credit is for not upgrading your phone, which is the norm

Yeh, you won't get many offers atm so I would wait till at least Monday.. hardly any phones in stock atm, stock update says Monday for most but that's not guaranteed...

Ok just rang o2 up and got it confirmed. Lilttle misunderstanding.

The £150 credit pays for the Motorola Bluetooth Hedset which is £70, which leaves me £80 credit that will pay for my bills for the next 8 months as long i stay within my allowence then i'll start paying £10per month.

Still a very good offer. So it's

    200 Mins
    400 Text
    Unlimted o2 Calls
    Unlimited Landline Calls
    Nokia 6300 (Black Edition)
    MotoPure H15 Bluetooth Hedset
    £150 Credit
For £10per month. 18 months contract.

Im more then happy with this. :)

Just rang 02 as got a letter saying I was eligible for an upgrade. Didn't ask to go through to retentions as just wanted to see what they would say and they offered me the following:

    Either
Simplicity rolling 30 day contract for £15 a month, (600 texts, 300 mins, 02 to 02 bolt on).

    or

Stay on same contract (18 months, 1000 txts, 400 minutes, 02 to 02 bolt on), no new phone, £150 cashback.

What do people think? If is so confusing the mobile phone game!

I was previously paying approx £30 a month...

I am not in a hurry for a new phone as can manage with the one I have.

    LYM
Personally I'd quote the SIM only deal of 600mins/unlimited internet/unlimited messages on T-Mobile for 20 quid and see what they do to at least try and match it. 18 months is a long time to be locked into a contract without a phone in my opinion, however cheap the contract is. In short, I'd say that O2 certainly can do better than that deal for 15 quid a month.

So basically ur monthly line rental works out to £10 a month over the 18 months and not £1.67 like u have mentioned before?

Both actually, new releases and new stock. Interested in the N85 or if still possible, the N78.

I'm not sure I can get the N96 for free on my current contract. The N85 seems to offer the best set of features for the price without the alleged issues of the N96.
