£2.50 a month for as long as I’m a o2 customer !
Anyone any idea how long the £150 credit takes ?
Does that just go into your bank ?
So i tried again last night and spoke to a lovely lady in retentions (she was VERY helpful) who offered me this deal too - but now i don't know what to take!My choices are:
£150 credit
200 mins
1400 texts
free o2-o2 calls
18 month contract
£10 a month
or
£150 credit
400 mins
2000 texts
free o2-o2 calls
18 month contract
£15 a month
I don't think i'll need 400 mins a month, but if I do take the £10 a month option and exceed my minutes it could end up being expensive.... And whatever i do, I won't be paying for the first half of the contract due to the £150 credit. Help!
For all those thinking of calling retentions - its definitely worth pushing for what you want. If you don't ask you don't get!0 -

Well, let's work it out:
Option 1 - 15 months free, pay £10 for 3 months= £30
Option 2 - 10 months free, pay £15 for 8 months= £120
The difference is £90 over the course of the 18months. If you have gone over 200 minutes in the past, how much did that cost you? Anywhere near £90?
If you don't have a large circle of friends/family on O2, why not swap the unltd o2-o2 calls for the 200 minutes bolt on or unltd landlines bolt on?

Yeah she worked all this out for me while I was on the phone to her - she was very helpful, almost too helpful actually as now i just can't decide! I'd only need to go 25 mins or so over a month and it would end up costing me around the same as the £90 over the duration of the contract. At the moment, i don't use my phone a lot for calls but that may well change over the 18 months...
I could of course up my tarif if i go for the £10 one and find i'm, spending over (but don't fancy a battle with customer services to get the higher one for this current offer of £15). Or could go down a tarif after 9 months if i opt for the £15 and am not using the minutes.
I do have a lot of friends/family on o2 so would prefer the o2-o2 bolt on. I did even her if i could swap for another (as you suggest) in future if it looked like my usuage was changing but she said I couldn't on these tarifs (which i thought was a bit odd).0 -

Why dont you go on the lower one, then like you said up it to the next tariff. You should still keep your discount as it'll be applied to your account for the next 18 months..0 -

Thanks MRC. I though the retention deals were only valid for 7 days though - that's what they always tell you anyway. The lady i spoke to last night did say I shouldn't have a problem upping to the £35 tarif at the reduced price of £15 a month if i did decide to, but i've had so many problems with o2 customer service in the past i'm not sure if i fancy taking that risk...0 -

No, what I mean is if you took the lowest one, you'd still keep your subscription discount if you changed to any other tariff..0 -

Are u sure the broadband is £2.50 for the life of ur o2 contract and not only for 12 months?0 -
Does anyone think I could drop this:
Simplicity 12 month, £19.58
Bolt on free 02 to 02 calls
to this:
Simplicity 12 month, £10
Bolt on Free 02 to 02 calls
Unlimited web bolt on
Also I asked if I could have a blackberry web bolt on with this. She said she couldn't do this (upgrades dept.) but the unlimited web bolt on would work on a blackberry, is this true?
Thanks.0 -
