Hi, I can upgrade or cancel my o2 contract next friday. I really want the 5800. Do you think that if I phoned them they would upgrade me a week early? Thanks

Nope,

Don't think they will let you.
I tried it myself and they said that the system would not allow them to give you an upgrade before you are officially due one.

Give it a try though!

Thanks grolsh. I gave them a ring but the phone isn't in stock anyways!! Does anyone have an opinion on the bb storm? It looks as good as the 5800?

The Storm you can only get via Vodaphone, so if you are thinking of leaving and getting it via Vodaphone online then don't forget cashback via quidco.

From what I have read the Storm's software is quite buggy and unstable but this may of changed.
Check out Vodaphones forums (google it), and also I find www.crackberry.com a good source of information.

I have gone for the BB 8900 Curve which is great but don't know if it's something what your looking for as it's not a touch screen.

i can upgrade this weekend but really want the 5800 which i fear is out of stock. i hope they get some in soon

does anyone know if you go into an o2 store if they'll offer similar deals to keep you as a customer as you'll get from o2 retentions on the phone?

I finally got my nokia 5800 last night, after they told me it was out of stock the day after agreeing to my new contract and supposedly ordering it. I was concerned there may be a fight on my hands but all is ok now. Just got to get my highstreet gift vouchers now and ill be happy!
