Having just finished 18 months at £20pm with a K800i, called retentions to ask for my PAC code and she asked me if I'd been offered a better deal, gave the details and then had to wait while she went to the 3 website to check it out for herself (lucky I didn't make one up), dont know if she just didn't believe me or whether it's new policy.

Anyway asked for the N95 8GB which was out of stock so asked casually if there were any stock problems on the Orbit II which is the one I wanted all along anyway. Couldn't do it free on anything less than £45pm, after going through this thread and making notes of what people had been offered I knew what they could in theory do

Eventually got;
Online 45 (1200 mins, 1000 texts) at £45pm
Unlimited data
Free Orbit 2
Discounted to £30pm.

which is good enough for me seeing as that will be replacing the K800 and my second work phone which is also at the end of it's contract and wont be getting renewed. And theres a damn site more mins/txts than both the previous two combined.

i despearately need to call retentions to sort out my o2 contract as its coming to an end... one thing i wanted to know about the n95 is about the web bolt on - can u not just use free wifi hotspots? or do u still get charged for download usage?

Can i ask which deal on 3 you told them about, im after the Orbit 2 and that sounds like a good deal to me

Very happy with deal. OH very happy . He used to have the qwerty keyboard phone a couple of years ago and loved it, so to have sat nav aswell he's a happy bunny :-)

For anyone that got offered two bundles for free (ie Unlimited data, extra texts etc) you might want to check your account online to make sure its gone through. Had to argue with cs as i only got one of my bundles but did managed to get an account credit for the trouble

I got 2, no probs - and they have double discounted me on my line rental for the past 2 months.. £30 instead of £15.. whoops:T

Just coming to the end of a 12 month o2 contract via e2save/cpw where 100% of line rental refunded via cashbacks. Have heard that lots of people now experiencing difficulty with cashbacks so am tempted by the following retention offer they've offered me today:

12 month o2/CPW contract
200 mins + 200 TXTS per month
1st 10 months @ £0 (automatic monthly bill credits)
Last 2 months @ £30 / month

Retentions chap calling me back in a couple of weeks by which time I'll have received my month 12 bill on the old contract (don't want to mess up final cashback!). Incidentally I forgot to ask whether it included a free phone - doubt it. Have decided I'll try and push him for 12 months @ £0 with auto monthly cashbacks and no phone when he calls back - I'll be more than happy with that. I work in sales and the above was his opening offer so there's got to be a little more room for negotiation!

Any comments much appreciated.
