    Yeah, same as the paper.

    Did you go for it?
  • The 18 month tariff detailed here for £15 is for unlimited texts to anynetwork, not just the o2 network.

Aye, that's what I got told today too - third person to tell me changing info - so confusing!

highguyuk I did go for it, then with all the messing around and being told it was just 02/02 texts again I cancelled it and sent the phone back. I then emailed the CEO as it's the second contract I've had that's gone balls up (first was a little while back - all 3 of the phones sent out didn't work - nokia n73) and I was fed up of being messed around and told duff info that didn't add up with various operators. and also with the not being able to cancel the order when it's sent out, having to wait for it to arrive etc and then send it back, it's a little much when the nearest post office is miles away.

The lady was lovely and looked into it for me and I got £30 credited to my PAYG phone as a goodwill gesture.

Last July, i came to the end of a 12 month contract with O2 which i took out via e2save. The e2save deal had been a with a free Nokia 6630, 12 month contract with 12 months free via cashback.

I received all the cashbacks and the contract ended in July. I wanted to keep my number so I took out a new cashback deal for 12 months with Orange from a different website. I phoned O2 to get the MAC code to transfer my phone and when they asked why i was leaving, i said i wasnt upset with the service and had no problem but while there were 12 month free deals, they couldnt offer me the same so i would change network again.

Thats when they offered me a deal - keep my contract with O2 and they would put me on a £15 per month tariff with something like 50 cross network minutes and 50 texts a month. The good bit was they would credit my account with £180 at the start and as long as i didnt exceed the minutes and texts, i would get the deal for free and not need to do any cashbacks.

So i took that and kept my previous phone to use with that contract and took out another cashback deal with 400 cross network minutes and 200 texts with a Sony W850i on a 12 month 12 month free deal. I sold the phone on ebay for £100 and all would have been great. i still had another handset to use anyway so didnt need that phone.

Only downside was the contract was with mobile outlet which is why i have recently ended up on this site as they have gone into administration and havent paid any cashbacks but i've managed to reduce the tariff to £25 and i've only got until July before i change contract again anyway.

I dont know if retention is the same team that provides the MAC codes but i didnt need to do any persuasion to get this deal. That was last July and they may have changed it now but e2save are still doing some good 12 month 12 month free deals.
If you sign up to their emails, they send out a deal every month or so and in the one i got this week, they are offering a Nokia N95 8MB on a 12 month contract 12 month free by cashback - someone on here was asking for that phone so that would be the best deal and i've had several cashback phones for myself and my wife with them over the three years and had no problems.

    Hope that helps someone.

I negotiated a new contract with O2 on Wednesday.

I originally asked for a PAC code from my Simplicity £20 a month deal on Tuesday (which was discounted down to £5 a month); had a call from the 'Win Back' team on Wednesday morning asking me why I was leaving (made up a package with T-Mobile for a laugh), then the guy went away for 3-4 minutes and came back with this:

    N95 8gb (free)
    Online 35 (600 mins/1000 texts)
    Unlimited Web Bolt On
    Unlimited O2 to O2 Calls

    ...for £20 a month over 18 months.

    I'm pleased with that :)
  • wow thats amazing. My OH contract is up at the beginning of April and was looking at a N95. Is it best to ring now and ask about it or leave it closer ???? He always leaves it to me because he says i can blag more lol

Yeah, I'd be inclined to call now and just ask for a PAC because the contract ends in a month. Think it is 202 > 2 > 2 on the phone. I didn't haggle with anyone during the initial call, just politely asked for the PAC and left it at that.

If they don't call you back within a couple of days, just call them up yourself and ask them if they can match a deal you have seen - this has worked for me in the past (got a G600 last September on a £15 a month, 12 month contract)

    Hope this helps :)
