Hi,
My contract is due to expire on the 1st August 2008 for 02, I tried to contact CPW 02, they have said they need 30 days notice, they did not mention any address but just told me to phone on the 1st July 2008, is this right?
Thanks0 -

400 xnet mins per month
1000 texts per month
free o2 to o2 calls
£50 credit
Sony Ericsson k850i - refurb
Free broad band
£15 month - 18 month
Previously never went over my £30 month charge0 -
I've been looking to upgrade my current mobile phone and I've just found what I'm looking for with O2 network. I have been with them for a while now and have just seen a deal just what I'm looking for to upgrade from my present mobile phone and contract which is now too old but this new tariff is a little too high.
For £35 per month you get 1000 txts and 600 hrs with one free bolt on selection. The mobile I'm looking at is a Nokia N95 8GB. With this deal the Phone is free with an 18 month contract.
There's the same deal for £30 per month but with a 24 month contract.
I find this is a little too high I'm looking for this deal with contract for £25 per month, £20 or even less.
What is the best way I can approach this, in order to get the deal that I want with this new moble phone as stated and a sutable contract that I can afford.
Cheers

Was originally on 50 free minutes 200 free texts and paying £20 a month so i get a lot more free allowance for £5 a month less and a brand new phone.
Same one i just got offered. Currently on the old (2yrs ago) Online 500 which gave 500+250bonus mins & same texts (i think). I never use more than 250 mins and 400 texts so this new deal should cover me fine. Plus is £20 cheaper than i'm paying at the moment.
Need to make a diary note for 16 months time :eek:0 -
I called today and signed up for an 18 month contract, no new phone, 200 minutes xnet per month (plus 2000 minutes o2 to o2) and 1000 texts for effectively £5 per month (first 12 months free and then £15 per month for the remaining 6 months).0

Hi all,
I thought I would share this with everyone here incase noone has come accross this offer. If anyone else has been offered simmilar I would appreciate your comments
I called O2 today to cancel my contract and after a 10 minute discussion of deals the guy eventually gave me an interesting deal... Free service for a year:
I have been offered a contract for 12 months which I think he stated was £15 per month and for this you get 100 Minutes and 100 texts per months but because I am a existing customer I got offered this for £5 per month I informed the guy that I was stil in no way interested (I was'nt that interested to be honest although it is a good deal) he put me on hold for 2 minutes and came back and said that they could offer me a £100 credit in my account so that would make my offer like the following:
£5/month - 100 mins+texts BUT with my o2 account being credited with £100 which means it woud cost me £60 for the year and I would have £40 for any overspending of my allowance !
I tried to get a free phone thrown in too :rotfl: but I could'nt get that so I am running the risk of having to buy a new phone before the 12 months is up but this is still an exceptional offer...
Has anyone got anything simmilar ? Is your contract coming time to renew because if you don't need a new phone I would push for an offer like this!
Sorry for the rambling post and I hope theres no spelling mistake sbut I can't get the spellcheck to work!

....just played hardball with them and asked them for my PAC code and they said they were sending it. Will they call me back with a better offer? I've seen other forumistas get better deals and I've spent a fortune on it last year!!0

Well if they said they will send your PAC code they will do that but there is a chance they will call you back with a better offer...
I would advise you to push them I have got a great deal for the next 12 months (check my last post for details if you want
I'm getting a £100 credit and connecting to a 12 month contract with 100 mins and 100 texts for £5/month!
Hope you get a good deal0 -
I wanted a new handset, was on Online 25 £25 per month, got a Black Nokia 6500, 200 any network minutes plus unlimited O2 to O2 minutes, 400 texts, free O2 broadband and line rental reduced to £15 a month, great result I reckon. 18 month contract, but that doesn't bother me.
Brilliant thread, wouldn't have known about Retentions without it :T
I've since found one slight issue that, although it won't cost me a lot of money, is a point of principle. On my old contract I had 1mb of free browsing a month. I never used more than 1mb a month and would only use it to check news or weather on the move. I've been checking my new contract online and can see browsing charges, and no sign of the 1mb browsing allowance in my free allowances. My paperwork arrived today and I now have a Web Daily guarantee that they won't charge me any more than £1 per day for browsing instead.
I rang to complain, got nowhere with Customer Services and asked for Retentions. They wouldn't budge, despite my argument that this was a change in contract that I wasn't informed of. I told them I'm returning the phone and canceling the upgrade, but they still wouldn't budge.
It's just something to be aware of. In all likelihood I'll stay with this contract anyway, it's too much bother to change, I just feel a bit misled.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0
