02 Retentions thread 2

I managed to get them to offer:
Unlimited o2 to o2 calls
400 text
200 mins a month
Reduced to £10/month then with £150 credit on bill, leaving me paying nothing for 15 months, and £10/month for the last 3 months.
I only use this o2 account as a spare, and the discount was based on contracts i had years ago, been on prepay since last summer and simplicity for a month.
Good deal?0 -

Good deal?
That sounds like a great deal!
My boyfriend is on 200mins, 200txts @£30p/m just now.
His contract is up soon and as he's not bothered about a phone i was hoping to get his monthly cost reduced significantly if they want 2 keep him in a contract, else he'l go sim only.
Anyone else had this tarriff reduced by retentions recently?0 -
"200min
400txt
unlimited O2-O2 calls
18 months @ 10£/month
150£ no phone instant credit"
To binz_81 - This deal is floating around for a while now, you should get without much hassle, I was offered that last week
I went (subject to 14 days Cool Off) for this one:
free Nokia 5800
18 months tie-in
600 x-net minutes
1000 texts
unlimited web bolt-on
ITS included FOC
12 months free "Standard" broadband from O2, I can nominate someone to get this, so my mate will give me 50£ for BB
I wasn't able to get free bluetooth headset as someone mentioned some pages ago and they wouldn't give any shopping vouchers they offer for new signings on O2 website.0 -

1000 texts
Free standard home broadband
This is an excellent deal. My contract is up and I can upgrade from this friday i'm currently on 12month Contract £30 a month 200mins 200text.
The deal you have been offered is the exact deal I want what tactics did u use for them to offer u this deal?0 -
Let me know how you get on,
I'm on a 12 month contract currently @ £15 per month and due an upgrade this week.
I'd rather have the BB 8900 preferably at the £20 per month deal everyone been getting and like you I'd either pay a one off up to £50 fee or just add a little extra on the monthly payments to compensate.
Be interesting to see what they say and how you get on!
Also I want my other half (on 12 month Orange contract runs out same time as mine), back on O2 and I wonder if they would give me the same deal if I ask them for two 8900's in my name on my account or would they say no and only be able to give me a standard tariff as it's not a retention deal!!!
Well I phoned 4445 and asked about what 02 would offer me. (I think I spoke to upgrades).
The man offered me the Blackberry Bold, £35 for 12 months, with £200 for handset!
Then he offered me for £35 for 18 months, £50 for handset and like above 600 mins 1000 texts and unlimited interent data.
Where did I go wrong?0 -

OR
600 minutes
Unlimited web bolt on
1000 texts
Free standard home broadband
What do others think to these offers? I would like combine the two to get unlimited texts and web bolt on, and push for premium home broadband too. Am I aiming too high!?
 Why is everyone getting 5800 deals?! O2 are still insisting to me that it is out of stock and they cant provide it to me, been waiting for nearly 2 week and all I get is "call back tomorrow after 3 thats when the stock gets updated".
Will be calling tomorrow for my PAC code and going Vodafone, bored of waiting now.0 -

I would not bother talking to customer service/ upgrades I'd go straight to the retentions department.
I'd called them and tell them that you were surprised and very dissapointed in regards of the upgrade offer you received and that elsewhere I have been offered.....
See what they say and see what mood/vibe the person is on and try and get a bit of chit chat going maybe to soften him/her up!
If you can't get anywhere either say you'll think about it and phone again and try again or call their bluff and ask for the PAC even if you don't intend to use it.
Also tell them something like my friend at work just received the same mobile on this and that tariff and he was on the same contract that i was so how come i can't get the same deal!!! just try and blag them
It's my go on Thursday see what I get offered!
cheers now :beer:0 -
just a couple of quick questions for anyone who has been offered
Free standard home broadband
did you have broadband with o2 already?
has anyone offered to pay more & got the premium broadband?

Sorry i should have been clearer. The bloke said I could get the 5800 with that deal if it was in stock, but it was not until wednesday. Whether that was just to fob me off i dont know. As for tactics i just played the i know nothing card.
Just called up and said, im leaving and sounded surprised when i was told i could get a discount and upgrades and such. First he offered the 600 minutes and unlimited texts. I asked about broadband and he put me on hold and came back and said yeah you can have that for free. then i asked about web bolt on for the phone and he went off again and came back with unlimited web and 1000 texts instead of unlimited,
Going to have another punt at some point toda and push for premium broadband, unlimited texts and unlimited web! shall let you know how it goes...0 -
