    I got

    Blackberry 8900 Curve
    600 minutes
    1000 texts
Unlimited Blackberry data bolt on (for email and internet)
    £20 / month on 18 month contract.

I went for the 8900 as the camera was 3.2mp where as the Bold is a 2mp.

online it says the unlimited blackberry data bolt is normally free with the £35 bb tariff like the one you got. it also says you can get free o2-o2 calls or a different bolt on for free with the £35 tariff. does anyone know if you can get both as part of the same deal? the bb data thing is a bit confusing.

i am hoping for: 600 mins, 1000 texts, unlimited o2-o2 calls and bb data bolt on for £20 a month! has anyone got something like this?

    thanks,
  • Hi

I am looking at the Samsung Pixon due to the reviews I have read on this model. I want a phone which I can browse the internet easily and quickly with, also the 8mp camera looks good.

On phoning 02 retentions twice, the best deal I can get is:

    600 mins
    1000 texts
    unlimited internet bolt on
    Free Samsung Pixon Phone
    18mths contract

    25.00 per month

I have tried to get it to 20.00 but they are saying the phone is too expensive.
They have offered the Nokia 5800 for 20.00 but I am not too keen on this phone.

Has anybody manged to get this phone cheaper.

I also like the Omnia but 02 do not supply this direct and I have read that there have been probs with support due to them not supplying direct.

I have had samsung phones for a while and am used to using them. I am worried about a complicated phone I will struggle to get used to.

    Any Suggestions??

    Many Thanks

just thought I should come back and give some update

was on a 18 month £35/month deal which will end in march

    called the retentions today

offered the Online 75 tariff 3000 mins 1000txts and free SE X1
    40% discount ,so £45/month
    unlimited web bolt on
and free Home broadband for next 18 months (saves another £132)

I know it's a high tariff, but need atleast 2000 mins, so for my needs this looks like a good deal.

    hope this helps someone here

Intresting to note they offered me a similar deal for the same price, but not that phone, but I wasn't offered the home broadband, which I already have, but they offered me Sat and Sun as free extra mins to any network.

I wonder if I could push them further?
That's my mutt in the picture above.
  • Quinny,

Just to add, I already have the BB from O2. they agreed to waive the monthly fee as 'is adjusted to the O2 Phone contract'

no loss in asking them right

Them waving the BB fee would be handy.

    Hello

Thanks for the info in this thread :D , I found it really useful.

I called up and was originally looking for one of the 8 megapixel camera phones e.g C905, but the cheapest they could offer me for these was £25 (instead of £35) for 600 mins, unlimited texts & unlimited web bolt for 18 months.

I was asked if I would consider a 5 megapixel camera phone instead and was offered the Samsung Tocco or C902 for £20 with the same deal details as above.

I could also have got it for £18 by dropping my mins to 400 but I didn't get the choice of the internet bolt on so went for the £20 offer instead. I chose the Tocco phone as I prefer how it looks. The woman I spoke to was really nice and helpful when I was trying to decide.

It's better than what I found elsewhere and will also be less hassle than claiming cashback. It's the first time I've taken out an 18 month contract but there doesn't seem to be many 12 month ones now.

It's possible to get them but it's a hassle to haggle- I have been able to get the N95 8GB on a 12 month deal but I believe that was mainly due to them getting fed up with me ringing up lol.

Does anyone have a number here for o2 retentions, and what do you say to them?

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
phone 4445 from your mobile and then choose the thinking of leaving option.

and ask what sort of deal they can offer you, read back a few pages on here to see what offers people are getting.
If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.
  • Hello fellow 02ers,

    I am currently on a £35/month tariff on a 12 month contract.

I am looking to get a blackberry bold or curve and after reading trolling through this thread have found a few offers.

I am most interested in the Bold and have found people to generally get:

£20/month, for 18 months, pay £50 for handset, 600 minutes, 1000texts, unlimited internet data.

These sound ok but I don't wanna take out an 18 month contract.

Do you think it's possible to pay a little more each month, say £25, and get it on a 12 month contract?
