  • I'm also on the £20 Simplicity package (600mins unlimited texts). How long should I have been with them before I can ask for a deal?

Ideally I just want a free Web Bolt-On for my Nokia E71
  • I'd ring em now and ask! If it's just the bolt on you want, ring them and tell them that T-Mobile offer that deal for under 20 quid (they do too....) and I'm sure they will at least match it...

They won't match it- they are saying that the T-Mobile deal is for a limited time only and will change back to without the unlimited internet. Slightly flawed argument as on a SIM only deals can be cancelled at 30 days notice and T-Mobile know that if they removed part of the deal customers would just cancel. If Orange or Vodafone do a similar deal then O2 will move to do the same.
  • erm, they offered to match it for me....today! I ended up going for the 18 monther, but only because at 20 quid I'm happy to keep paying that for what I get, and they threw in 150 smackers as a sweetener :)

Well on a SIM only deal, on an eighteen month deal I'd say thats about the going rate at the moment.

Rang yesterday, straight away was offered 40% discount on 18 month contract. eg:

    600 min
    1000 sms
    Any bolt on
    @ £21/month

    1200 min
    1000 sms
    Any bolt on
    @ £27/month

On first tarrif most phones free (preferance was for C905), but £97 for SE Experia X1 or £47 for any XDA/Blackberry. On second tarrif, XDA/Blackberry also free or £43 for SE X1.

Am I likely to beat this? I asked for my PAC to see if they'd go any lower, but they didn't.

Main problem is that I don't know what to get...got a K800i atm which I really like (hence interest in C905), but it'll be ancient in 18 months time. Would like something which is good for internet and prefer touch screen, hence the interest in XDA/Xperia X1:confused:

Anyone used something similar to the C905 for web browsing?
  • Been with o2 over 18months, spent over £600, over that period.

I have been offered this by o2 retention; Free Nokia 6300, 200mins & 400txts, unlimited o2 to o2 calls for £7.50 per month for another 18months. All my friends are on different networks, so I would not benefit much from the unlimited o2 to o2 calls. Has any one else got a better deal? I am sure they can do better. What are the bolt on options, free web/mins/txts?

    Thank you

I just settled on my retention plan too, and like some others, got:
    • 400 minutes
    • 1000 texts
    • Unlimited O2 to O2 calls
    • Unlimited data
    • £150 credit (no phone included)
    for £15/month for 18 months.

Total cost for the contract duration is £120 or £6.67/month.

Are u sure u got unlimited data with this deal as looking on their website this deal doesnt come with a free web bolt on?

The retentions staff don't know the difference between data and web bolt ons.

I accepted the £25 / month deal and they said it came with data. It actually was a web bolt on.

Still, it saves me £10 / month and I get a bolt on, so I am happy.

Argued with a lot of retentions staff to try and get it down to £25 / month like what other people have had though. :D
