I have just called o2 and been offered 1200 mins, 500 texts and unlimited internet for £26.43 per month icl vat (18 months)
and it comes with a free Balckberry Bold.

I then saw the last but one post re cashback and carphone warehouse. How did you do that? I dont want to accept this and regret it!

If you have never been on a cashback deal before, then may I suggest you read this before embarking on one.

Personally, I have had all my claims paid over the years, and there have been many. Most often, they have been paid automatically on receipt of my claims. Once was rejected incorrectly (the last one), but I set e2save straight. More recently, I am finding that when I phone up to enquire about the status, I am told the claim has not been received. When I give an RM recorded tracking number, the claim seems to get processed. Off 3 I sent on 13 January, only 1 has been processed automatically, and I got the cheque today. Frankly, I am bored with their games.

Fortunately, 2 cashback deals I took out last year with E2save ended up being with 02. I upgraded one of them yesterday, and will be cancelling the other next month.

I have one cashback deal with CPW and the contract expires mid-March. I will make sure I do everything I need to in order to cancel the contract. I just hope CPW stick to their part of the deal. That will just leave me with 2, and that is more than sufficient.

I was hoping to get it for £20 as saw this post, if you think £25 is a fair deal I might go with it but what do I do now as I have my PAC
Well it all depends on whether or not you are prepared to pay a small price for it- the C902 is apparently on the same level but they do seem to want to charge you for it on sub 45 quid tariff.

do not get the iphone - i bought it on payg and now going to return it. why you ask I hear, underneath that interface there is nothing else, the novelty wears off. quite like the nintendo wiii, I did like the app remote though but the iphone is expensive, overated but does BASIC things nicely thats all

could someone now answer my question please

I really don't think you can possibly have explored all the capabilities of the i-Phone, or looked into the numerous free apps you can download for it. It's a fantastic piece of kit and is akin to having a palm top computer, ipod, GPS satnav, skype and mobile phone all rolled into one!

Is anyone getting offered cheap home broadband thrown in with their mobile deal ?
  • Just rang as currently im paying £35 a month for 600 minutes and unlimited txts. Saw i can get the same with Vodafone for £25 p/m + £90 quidco cashback and a free Nokia 5800. Told her this and she said she can get me the same thing for £20 without the cashback. So over the course of my contract both would work out at £360 total. Does that sound like im getting a good deal? Ive been on o2 for years now so would ideally just like to stick with them.

I'm on the same boat as you! I have seen various cashback deals which will work out cheaper than £360! You get more or less the same minutes and texts.

    Mobile Express:
    £185.00 cash back
    • Cash back by redemption in five stages at months 6, 9, 12, 15, 18
    • 700 minutes and unlimited texts per month.
    • Average line rental after cash back equivalent to: £19.08
    • Total contract cost over 18 months: £343.48

Depends on how many minutes and texts you are after. But for the benefit of it, it is easier staying with o2 for £20 a month, see if you can get unlimited web bolt on out of it as well.

  • Cheers for that - who is the cashback through though? Im a bit wary of these cashback deals in case they dont work out! Have you told o2 about those deals?

Through mobiles.co.uk. Who are part of Carphone Warehouse. I haven't spoken to them yet, but will try in a while. Even if I could get a good deal with o2 i.e £15 a month rental for decent minutes and texts and unlimited web bolt on with £150 credit I would settle for that, as I could buy the phone on PAYG. Will try pushing them otherwise I may have to consider cashback deals.
