I wanted the xda serra but the woman I spoke to said they dont do it online only in the shop and I wouldnt get a retention deal

Phone comes on thursday,will have a look and decide what to do



edit...I sent an e-mail to o2 asking why the serra is shown as available online but I was told it isnt,Turns out you can get it online but the upgrades/retentions dont have it as its two separate things ?????? I presumed that if o2 are offering a phone then any o2 department would have access to it......obviously not :rolleyes:

I've been with o2 for four years and have always had to call back several times to the retention department to get a good deal. Was originally told when I called to upgrade that I could only get the X1 free on a £75 a month contract. o2 messed up my 18 month contract and offered me back in feb of 08:

£27 on a 12 month contract.

After 3 calls a fantastic dude (am I allowed to mention names?) offerred me:

Quick question re retentions, I've 7 months left on my contract, seen a very good deal on a N96, ...if i were to ask retention to buy out of my contract to go to the other company, do you think they would stop me or would they just allow me to go ?

why would you ant to do that u have o pay the remainder of your contract plus your new one?

Well the remainder of the contract would be just over £100, im not too worried re this, however what im trying to establish is if o2 would ignore the 7months remaining on my contract to retain a customer.
