Apologies if this has been covered before, but if I were upgrading to an iPhone contract after reading in the terms and conditions "5.15 You may move to another iPhone tariff at any time, provided that you may only change tariffs a maximum of once per month. Changing tariffs will not affect your Minimum Period. You will not be able to move to a general O2 Pay Monthly tariff. Where you have notified us you wish to move to an alternative iPhone tariff, unless we advise otherwise, your new tariff will commence at the start of your next billing cycle."
Does this mean I could 'sign up' to the £75/month tariff and have a free 16GB iPhone and the next month lower this to a £30/month tariff without penalty?0 -
I believe the standard policy of not allowing downward migration for the first 9 months still applies, and I suspect O2 will only let you move down one step.0

However you can shift down one tariff per month after 9 months.0 -
I settled on my o2 Retention deal yesterday
1200 Mins X net anytime
1000 sms
Blackberry Bold 9000 Mobile Phone
Bolt-on Unlimited Internet
Bolt-on Free landline calls
Cost £27 month
18 Month contract
I was paying £40 before on 12 month deal and had to haggle hard to get 2nd bolt on0 -
I spoke to a very nice guy at o2 today and was offered:
Free C905
600 Minutes
1000 texts
Unlimited internet bolt-on
12 months free broadband
For £20
Just wondering if anyone else as got this deal as it sounds very good?
I am currently already paying £7.50 for O2 Broadband, so if I could get this, then it would be only £12.50 which sounds too good to be true...0 -

What did you say to get the second bolt on? I've been trying and they won't budge.0 -
I just settled on my retention plan too, and like some others, got:
- 400 minutes
- 1000 texts
- Unlimited O2 to O2 calls
- Unlimited data
- £150 credit (no phone included)
Total cost for the contract duration is £120 or £6.67/month.0 -
Well I'm jealous! I'm on a sim only contract and I wanted a new phone (6300 for preference) in exchange for signing up for 12/18 months.
I tried three times to get some sort of a deal but they just weren't interested. I spend around £35/Month, so no rich pickings but I'm still surprised. I got my PAC code almost instantly too so they really aren't bothered about loosing me!0
