Does anyone know if O2 do any monthly contracts for less than £15 per month for retentions? My contract with them is up soon (been with them for 3 years now) and I don't really want to leave them, but I know I can get an older model Sony Ericsson from Vodafone for £10 per month over 18 months.
I don't want to go PAYG, and I need a new phone - but I'm a very light user, probably only 50 mins & 50 texts per month, so I don't want to pay anymore than I have to.0 -
Finally managed to get an upgrade on the N82 with 600mins 1000texts and unlimited landline calls for £25p/m on 18 month contract.
However, after accepting the offer it appears to me that the new O2 tariffs no longer include 1MB GPRS data included. Is this correct? I don't need more than 500 texts so it would have been nice if I could have traded the texts for 1MB GPRS data.
Anyone managed to get a data Bolt-On (say 1MB GPRS per month) for free on the new tariff? When I say data Bolt-On I don't mean the unlimited browsing Bolt-On which can be added for free (but then I have to trade that in for the unlimted landline calls).0 -

I got 600 mins, 1000 text, web bolt on @ £35 *18 and they would not budge and I am getting the phone today.
:-( I am gutted now. By the way, what number did u reach CPW on? I got escalated to loyalty when i threatened to terminate but severals calls later to various ppl at loyalty and they did not budge. I am not sure if the fact that we did not quite use up the minutes last year etc was a minus point in my negotiation.0 -

Yesterday I got offered a Sony W960 on an 18 month contract £35, 600mins with unlimited landline calls.
Have just checked vodafone and orange they are offering 750min or 800min for £35 with unlimited landline calls.
Think I will be calling O2 back to better their deal . . .:rolleyes:0 -
I'm trying to get the silver N95 - just spoke to retentions and they offered it to me for £35 with 600mns and 500 txt. I countered by sayibng i saw it on onestopphoneshop for £20/mth (discounted tarriff for 12months). She said that they might be able to do £15 off and checked. She then came back saying the system had said no and that they couldn't do any better than the initial offer. She's generated a PAC for me but I figure I might as well phone up later.
Any tips on how to get that £15 discount off them? Or suggestions on how I could have followed up my initial request? I guess I could have asked what sort of leeway there was elsewhere but the minutes and txts are sufficient for me. The only thing that worried me was that she said net use is charged from now on...0
