All in working out at 6.67£/month average
OR

Weird!
I rang in to check the status of Nokia e71 and they said they still dont have them even after stating other networks do have them selling to consumers and not just business customers.
So was told by the lady its my prerogative if I want to go somewhere else. I asked for disconnections and trust me there was nothing retention about it.
The guy called Paul in disconnections didnt even ask me why i wanted to leave he just explained me the procedure and said i would get my pac code in one to two days.
No deals , no other upgrades just pac code!0 -
hi can anyone help (Chattycathy?)
I ve just spoken to retentions as my contract ends in mid Jan. The guy was very friendly and said I m better going on Simplicity for a while until some of the new handsets become cheaper/free. (I enquired about a C905 but it would be £100 which he suggested waiting a few weeks)
The guy said that my current £10 discount will stop at the end of the (12m) contract in Jan so my bill will become £40 instead of £30.
My only worry is that I might lose any loyalty bonus I currently have. For example i could of had a Nokia 95 8g free and a £35 tarrif discounted to £20 had I taken it out (or £150 credit with no handset) today. If i go onto simplicity for a month or two will they still have my history and improve my loyalty bonus or will i be seen as a "standard" simplicity user?I d like to stay with o2 but only with my (what will be) £15 loyalty bonus.
many thanks0 -

like i said there are 2 centers, and theres top advisors and crap ones, depands which one you get. if an advisor isnt hitting targets, and know they wouldnt be getting commision that month, they really dont care about saving you, as they dont gain anything from it, they just get a basic wage. wrong really but thats the way it works. However i dont surf the net in the morning before i go to work, but on my team we check, ill stick you on hold and look.
Some stick u on hold and leave you there!!! so if i was ringing up i wouldnt phone up kicking off, as you dont know who your going to get, there some rite funny sods at o2 with big attitude;)
i must say on my last upgrade the dude gave me his number and i foned him back but the staff kept telling me 'oh he isnt on this number anymore'... oh he's not in this office anymore'. which was a shame coz i really wanted him to get the commission. if i get a nice person on the fone i will go through wiv them, i ignore all the chancers that are like 'oh dont worry i can do that 4 ya'.0 -

I'm in the same situation. Been with O2 for 9 years and moved onto Simplicity last month when my contract was up - with the promise of better deals in the new year.
I was told that no loyalty bonus would be lost and that my full history / loyalty would be carried over to the Simplicity contract. The same should apply to any customer rolling onto Simplicity from an existing contract.

Hi all, long time luker first time poster!
I have been with o2 for 3 years spending around £35 per month. I have just got off the phone from o2, spoke to a really helpful guy called Paul, and was offered the following deal:
1200mins
1000 texts
unlimited web
for £30 per month with a free Nokia N95 8GB (Needed a new phone as my one is a bit worse for wear!)
Decided to go ahead with it, does anyone think I got myself a good deal as I need a bit of reassurance!0 -

If you're happy with it, then it's good.
However, I have a sneaky feeling you could probably get the tarrif discounted even more.
Someone will come along and put me right soon enough.Tough times never last longer than tough people.0 -
thats exactly what i thought but they were not budging, did the old threaten to leave trick and in no uncertain terms was told 'go on then!'
they were insistent that i couldnt have the £20 N95 deal that other moneysavers have mentioned, ah well, you win some you lose some!0
