    What more do you want???

That's a standard deal, and if you took them up on that they'd probably give you £150 for sticking on it for another 18months. You do get some shirty staff occassionally, but sounds like you've not helped them help you

if you do check it is before u start the day... LOL! had i not been offered said deal i woulda requested pac a.sap.

I could always get your PAC code for you! lmao just pulling you leg!

like i said there are 2 centers, and theres top advisors and crap ones, depands which one you get. if an advisor isnt hitting targets, and know they wouldnt be getting commision that month, they really dont care about saving you, as they dont gain anything from it, they just get a basic wage. wrong really but thats the way it works. However i dont surf the net in the morning before i go to work, but on my team we check, ill stick you on hold and look.

Some stick u on hold and leave you there!!! so if i was ringing up i wouldnt phone up kicking off, as you dont know who your going to get, there some rite funny sods at o2 with big attitude;)

chattycathy i cant get used to the keyboard on the iphone :( coming from an employee discounted £45 a month tarrif (discounted to £22.50) how much do you reckon I could get N95 for per month with unlimited data, and about 400mins, 500 texts please?

    btw clear your inbox!!

    my inbox is clear now!

send it back. Ring up tell them your sending it back on 14 day, (you need to get retention team preston brook) as you have worked out you cant afford the tariff, you need to get the bill down as much as poss, ask them can you get N95 with a discount on your £35 tariff say (£15) ;)

Without looking at your account i cant say off hand, but £15 is the max to knock off.

ring them see what they say, let me know.

I don't need a new handset, I'm fine with the one I've got. Anyway I have just rung 02 and asked them for a good deal, something similar to my 500 mins and 100 txts but at a lot cheaper cost. Spoke to really annoying person who said the simplicity deal sounded a more appropriate tariff. That I could get 200 mins and 400 txts with unlimited 02 calls for £15 a month.

I ended up putting the phone down. I've been a loyal customer for 3 years, paid my bill on time every month and they can't offer me decent deal. Thought I would have been given a credit offer as I don't need a new phone and was expecting my current contract at about £10 a month. Should I ring back at try and haggle some more?

When I called in the summer, the first offer wasn't much good, until I said I could get a load more minutes on payg on 3, then they said well if you want to upgrade the tariff ...

For a start, the person you spoke to didn't even mention what would be a better sounding Simplicity deal, the 600 minutes etc at £20.

Browse through some tariffs on the O2 website so you can talk about the likeliest one you want, my guess for you 600 minutes 500 texts, plus free bolt-on. Then talk up and down a bit from that one, say that you understand the best discounts offered are £15 a month, and see what they can do.

In my case, I could get £5 off £25 monthly, £10 off £30 or £15 off £35, so it was going to cost £20 anyway. And the top one has a choice of free bolt-on, so I chose internet. That was with a phone, and it's pretty standard to be offered £150 credit on 18 months for not bothering to have one, so the rental would then average out to £11.67

If you go abroad a bit, ask for My Europe Extra, which they can offer free, and means free incoming calls and 25p outgoing in Europe. And they'll do some O2 home broadband offers as well if you're interested and it's available in your exchange

Thanks for your help. Just rang them back and they tried to offer me the simplicity deal again but haggled with them and got a 18 month contract for 200 mins and 400 txts at £10 per month, with a £100 credit so works out at £4.44 a month!! My usage is apparently 219 mins a month but most of that will be to my girlfriend who's also on 02 and with this deal I get unlimited calls to 02. Well chuffed.
