  • Hey guys

I really want the 16gb iPhone (my own 20bg ipod only went a broke on me bout a week ago so I really want the bigger one) and was wondering if anyone knows if o2 are gonna review what packages they have for it next month?

I'm on simplicity atm as when my last 18 month contract ended there wasnt a phone out that I liked, but my current phone is driving me mad so I'm looking to upgrade next month. I need it by 17th Jan.

Do you think it's worth holding on, or should I just get it now? I've convinced myself o2 will have some sort of offer on them come January, but anyone any ideas?

just been on the phone, 02 operator had no interest in keeping me as an 02 customer, but to offer me something stupid like an 18month contract for 400mins, 1000texts @ £30 a month.

Average use for me is 249mins, 255texts...

Think PAY-G is the winner for me.

guys i'm coming to the end of my o2 contract:D [200mins and 200 txts] and have been paying effectively £5 per month after cashback:D(the contract was an upgrade on o2 carphonewarehouse with no phone) .

im interested in getting a decent phone:D (either n95/i850/c905 etc) and by my calculations, i can continue on the same contract at £5 a month, and a decent phone would cost roughly £250 simfree, therefore if i am offered a deal, i should pay no more than £18.89 per month(which i don't think is likely to be offered).

200 mins and texts are more than enough for me:D, so any addtional mins/texts would be of little use. the only addition i would consider is free wap:D, although i only use this very occasionally, check cricket scores, cinema listings once in a while so would not pay over the odds just for this one service

:money:what do you guys think would be my best options???:money:

Simplicity @ £15pm (reduced to £10 currently), 200min 400texts and you can add a £7.50 web bolt on if you get an n95 to be able to surf rather than use old-school WAP ;)

    Alias_Omega,

I suggest you switch to a suitable Simplicity plan as you're overpaying by quite a bit right now. If this £35 tariff suits you well the Simplicity equivalent is only £20 per month, and you'll save some money while you search for the perfect phone for yourself. :)
  • Hello everybody
My 12mth contract is nearly up, and so is my husband's as we have exactly the same deal - very Howard and Hilda! We've been on O2 25 (25 mins and 25 txts for £10 per mth for 12 mths, and had £75 credit)
I rang tonight and was put through to a lovely girl in retentions called Samantha, and was initially offered the Simplicity deal for 300 txts and 150 mins for £10 per month.
Having done a bit of research and read what you've all posted, particularly chattycathyuk and jeremygiles, I said that that wasn't really what I was looking for and ended up being offered:
    75 mins
    250 txts
£10 per mth for 18 mths
    £125 credit
which all works out as £3.06 per mth!!
I'm really pleased with myself :j
Although we've not often used the minutes/txts in the past, we'll certainly use our phones a bit more now to make sure we only use our home phone when its not free (ie use the mobiles for calls in the daytime and to mobiles).
    Thanks everyone!!:D

Just a quick question...has anyone been offered the SE C905 in silver? Looks like a nice phone, but don't really fancy it in the black to be honest.

I was with the phone with O2 chasing them for a replacemnet handset.
I was offered XDA ignito or XDA Orbit2 and some other motoroal phones in themorning by a sweet lady . I informed her , that let me have review of the ignito phone and confirm the order. After reviewing the ignito, I called O2 and the person who took the call said that i cant have the ignito as replacement as it is not availble for the tariff with I am in. Finally the guy agreed to send a mail to the lady whom i spoke to call me back...

I am surprised how these things can hapen . Has anyone been in the same situation?

btw i am replacing my xda orbit2 ...

    please help.

now i am waitign for the lady who initially offered me the Ignito... to call me tomorow..

Any help on this is highly appreciated..
  • Hi All

I am three months away from my contract renewal but its time where i am allowed an upgrade. I rang the 402 and asked if i could get the Nokia E71 ( mind you still not discussing the tarriff) The CSR said it is out of stock and should know any better by next week. Alternativley he went on to offer only the simplicity 20 deal which i thought was raw deal as i am currently on O2 30 and my monthly spend is anywhere around £40-£60. I hung up saying i need to think about this.

In acctual i researched before and what i am after is the Nokia e71 + simplicity 20 with the free web bolt on. I dont mind getting tied in another 18 month contract, but quite like the 600 mins and free web bolt on

Do you think i am being realistic? Should push for anything else like more minutes, cashback or lower rental ?
