is that 18 month contract?0
-
Yeah, like ive read a few times, 12 month contracts are few and far between now.0

I think you just need to bite the bullet and go 18 month diggad. A decent phone will last that long, and if you can get a decent deal it wont cost too much, plus you can reduce the tariff after 9months (correct me if im wrong).:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0

Yes your quite right Rev.0

No, wrong Rev... they said you can reduce or upgrade on the 17th month of the 18th month contract.0

The reduction is definately before the renewal, but wasnt sure if it was at 9months on a 12month deal (ie: 3months early), so maybe 15months on an 18month deal? Others have definately reduced tariff on 9months...:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Any of you who got the recon iPhones can post what firmware version it came with? Or, more simply, did iTunes ask you to update your firmware the first time you plugged it in?0
-
Its a first time post although I have been a MSE lurker for a long time.
Here is my saga:
I have been an O2 200min/200text simplicity customer for years (possibly 4 years) - using about 110 mins and 70 texts a month.
My SE has given up the ghost and therefore I have been looking at new mobiles. I have been looking for a phone that has a good internet capability. I know the iPhone is probably best but I don't want to pay 30-35 a month.
I called O2 retentions - they offered me 18 month contract with 200 mins/400 texts, unlimited O2 to 02 for £15 + free Unlimited Web Bolt on. They are also going to put a credit on my account for £150.
this looks pretty good to me - but obviously there is no phone. I was thinking of taking this offer and buying a phone on Ebay.
Looking at LG renoir - they go for about £200 - 220. Is this good for the internet?
Or do you think I should call back O2 for a better offer (maybe including phone)?0
