You would probably be able to get it for £50 if you went on to an 18 month contract and up'd you tariff to £35, but to be honest I think you need to lower your price range. Look on o2.co.uk, you should be looking @ phones in the region of £150, I would think you would have a good chance of getting them for free.
Someone is probably going to reply now telling you that you can get the LG Renoir for free on your current tariff (how much are you paying btw?) but you would have to push pretty hard and get someone really nice to get a £250 phone for free on a 12 month contract paying less that £30 pcm!
Its also free from orange 12 months for 32.96 100mins 500 texts, just looking into this myself if its the best deal...
Currently with o2, but dont want a contract longer than 12 months(like a new phone each year)0 -
i got:
free samsung tocco (original)
600 minutes
1000 texts
unlimited internet
£25 a month for 18 months. CHEAPEST deal ive ever got!!! £less than £500 over the life of the contract.0 -
The 6600 is good - it's well made and has Nokia's usual level of simplicity to operate while providing all the functions you need. I've just made the move back from Samsung and I'm glad I did because I find Nokia's generally more intuitive.
My only gripe with it is that when you slide it closed it doesn't automatically close what you're doing or lock the phone, whereas my old Samsung did. You can put auto lock on for 30 seconds or something like that, but to me it makes sense that when I close the phone I've finished with it and am putting it away. When you slide it closed you can just press the centre button to lock it, and it's a minor inconveience which I'm getting used to, but it just seems like an obvious usability point to me.
Overall though I'm more than happy with the phone and the excellent deal I go from o2!:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Looking for some serious advice here
I'm into 15th month of my 18 month contract with a Nokia N95
£35/month 750 x anytime mins plus
free weekend calls- Sat/ Sun/Mon plus
100 txt messages plus
1MB dowload limit.
I have never went over the £35 mark as never ever used the whole mins deal yet. I also have O2 home BB and is paying 7.50/month.
Now all I want to request you to give me some idea what I can get when it's time for upgrading. Was hoping for Nokia N95 8GB or iphone
I would like to stay on the same mins if possible with the weekend bolt on, but at a lesser price and is also looking for internet bolt on and a new phone.
Q1.what is the best phone I can get
Q2. will I be able to haggle and reduce the £35 to a lesser figure/month.
I have been with O2 for 3 years and always had upgraded a new phone with no price reductions.
any help and advice really appreciated
thanks in advance0 -

Then youre a mug for doing so :money:
Call 202, go to the option that says 'if youre thinking of leaving', ask for your PAC code, and when asked why you want to leave, say that youre paying too much as youve seen a better deal elsewhere (you'll have to do some research here on this thread or elsewhere to find out 'waht better deals there are'.
You wont get any reductions on the Iphone, but any other phone, expect to get it for free and pay around £20 for 600 mins, 1000 txts with a phone on 18 month contract.0 -
thanks Shaggy for the advice.
May be I'm a mug, but as I metioned earlier I'm not a technie savvy, but having found MSE, this have changed and I have been more careful in getting better deals.
thanks any way.
do u think i can probably get a Nokia N95 8GB free on £20/month?
also I have heard people getting their upgrade before the 17thMonth on a 18 month deal. like in their 15 month or so, I'm sure they are on O2 and not on Voda. is that only for People who got their connection through CPW or people who have a Silver or Platinum status?0 -
Bit of advice required
I recently upgraded to c905 via o2 @ CPW retentions but still within the 14 day cooling off period. The deal I accepted (which was the best deal at the time after searching the net) is as follows:
400 mins
500 txts
u/limited internet
£150 cash back via redemption on a £30 pm 18 month contract. which equates to about £21
I am considering sending the phone back to see if they will improve on the offer as i have found another retailer which is part of cpw offering £195 cash back on the same tarriff and same phone to new customers
any thoughts or similar experiences - comments welcome0 -
I want the C905. It's free with phone4u on 02. £35pm. 600 mins an unlimited text. I'm due my upgrade in Jan direct from 02. Doubt 02 will match it...
ATM I get 600 mins, 1000 text, free weekend calls and free weekend texts all for 35quid.0 -
Spoke to retentions a few days ago and was offerred £20/month on an 18 month contract - 600mins, 1000txts, unlimited o2 calls, unlimited web bolt-on. I didn't take a phone so I was suppossed to receive a credit of £150.
Lady I spoke to initially offerred me the £45/month deal with 40% discount which I refused as I will never use up to those minutes.
Just checked my account online and saw a credit of £150 applied twice. Am not complaining
